I got a Panasonic TX-P37X20B with no power and 13 red LED flashes. A google serch says it's a emergency sos on the "A" board which is the main av board. Is there a text I can do to prove this? I disconnected the y and x boards but same problem remains. The power board isn't giving any secrets as to voltages to check.

That A board looks worked on? that white connector with no plug in center top, is that badly corroded / shorting? -

Its a pretty new set, very clean inside. the connector is not corroded see pic.
I got some blinking information (pardon the pun) on the led flashes codes in case someone needs it in the future.

Those blink codes are from what manual? I'd expect the SOS the same for the 42 and the 37 since they both have the same TNPH0829 A board the difference should be just the data loaded on the eeproms/flash ics.
Don't see 13 blink, stops at 12 but probably does not mean it can't generate a 13 blink, just not mentioned. that post I linked has the same A and he reported 13, new A board fixed it.

Actually, 13 blinks was sounding familiar to me. I have a 42X20A, same generation, different A board TNPH0840 but very similar.
During an eeprom swap/conversion I created a 13 blink, mine stops at 12 in the manual too.
This is what I wrote "After doing all 4 I had SOS9-discharge control SOS, A-board. Looking at the cct I went for IC9304, swapped the other 42" FHD IC9304 - 13 blink- no such code.
Rechecked my work, found bridged resistor pack R8922 which sits right next to 48pin IC8921 NAND Flash- must have brushed it with the tip."
If I was going to have a guess, IC8921 on yours might be bad or corrupted or maybe a power supply issue to it, 3.3 volts supplied at pins 12, 37, gnd at 36,13. Page 50 in that manual.
I think it may be hiding under the alloy heatsink on yours or underside. 48pin , thin rectangular chip. may have a white label with TVRR431 on it.Comment

I've done this on that model whilst I was mucking around with the chips, if you remove the 3 white ribbons, I also disconnected vsus from SC,Ss and P35 for vda to the c boards, power up the Tv and if it still blinks 13 in this case it has to be the A board, I don't think it could come from anywhere else really.Comment

I missed your P2 question but if the power was removed from the Sc,SS, ribbons removed and p 35 disconnected then The A was faulty.
I had the same deal but in reverse for my 42X20. had SOS4 (shorted SS) then cleared that and ended up with SOS1 A board. I must say that sucks getting a double whammy.

So that would be P2/SC2, P11/SS11, P35, 3 white ribbons disconnected power on and still have 13 blinks.

by sam_sam_samI did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow
This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

by BiruslapioHello, I've had this TV for 3 years, 2 years ago it stopped working signaling 12 Blinks, SOUND_SOS according to the service manual.
It has no VSUS or VDAT, and P15V has 1.0V instead, the same 15V goes to A board. F15V is ok and other main voltage rails.
It seems the power supply is defective, since unplugging D20 ribbon cable that goes from D-board to SC-board makes the behavior change, the TV stays on, there's no image nor VSUS, but 15V reads 2.4V, high enough to not trip the SOS 12 blinks, so it stays on, fans do not spin but I left it 2 hours, green led lit up... -

I have a Panasonic TH-42PX75U manufactured in 2007. It has been trouble-free until recently. One evening I turned it on and it then powered back off and gave 7 blinks.
First a question about the blinks. Everyone only speaks of a single number of blinks. I noticed on my TV, it blinks one fewer times for the first group of blinks, then blinks the full number repeatedly. So for my first code in question, the TV switches off, blinks 6, then blinks 7 repeatedly. When I disconnected the SC board, the TV switches off, blinks 7, then blinks 8 repeatedly.... - Loading...
