you did not well things, if backlight comes on on the last test then you have to check also main board psb outputs, if them ok then is highly difficult that jumpering A5v to power on did not turned outputs on.. THE QUESTION: have you ever tested a tv power supply?!

Good news!!! the tv works with shorted DS on mosfet. I guess the noise is not harmful... what happens if I make the short permanent?

Well, congratulations to both of you, it was a cold soldering on the negative pin of CM851. I guess this was "informing" power supply that the led inverter was operational and it would not turn on. Thanks again for the help!

Thank you too, I just could not believe that it was something simple as that!

Yep, the one time I didn't give the solder joint speech early, that's why the simple things should not be overlooked. Would have been a shame to tear down to backlights and or buy a new powerboard, just for a bad solder joint that's fixed with a quick check and a little solder.

                          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                          Assuming...

Samsung BN44-00262A H37F1-9SS power supply help finding blown value components!
                          by cheeky2
This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                          by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Samsung UN75J6300AFXZA LCD TV Power Supply Troubleshooting
                          by MtnManMike
                          Hello,

I'm hoping to get some help figuring out how to troubleshoot this power supply board. The television is a Samsung UN75J6300AFXZA, version no. UH03. The power supply board has two model numbers on it, L75S1 and BN44-00723C. As far as experience level, I'm familiar with recapping boards in terms of safely going through the soldering motions, choosing suitable replacement parts, and so forth, but as far as understanding the various functions of each part of these TV power supply boards, I am a rank beginner.

When I plug the TV in, the screen flashes on and off and...
