    Proper way to test IPM??

I finally pulled a bad IPM off a vizio p50hdtv10a y sustain without destroying the board. Anyone know the sequence to test it? It does not have any identification numbers on it anywhere.

This looks like your IPM: (This is from their blog)

    http://blog.coppelltvrepair.com/2010...71qyh039a.html

You will make 3 tests on each IC.

If any of them results in continuous beep and reading of “0” (or the same reading on the display as you get when you touch the two probes of the meter and hear beep) then the IC is bad.

    You will be testing:

    1) VS to GND
    2) VS to SUS_O
    3) GND to SUS_O

Each of the contacts (VS, GND and SUS_O) has multiple pins on the IC, i.e. all pins in the group are the same and it does not matter which one you will try on.

Well according to this test, this IPM is good, I get no beeps on any of the pins. The tv was flashing white and clicking sound coming from what seemed to be this ipm. I cant imagine it being the upper IPM, other forums say its rare for the "er" ipm to fail.
