Re: VIORE 32" - Power board problem?
Checked caps and few other components on that side, but not all of it. This board is not easy to work with because heatsinks covering lot of components. I would rather get a used one for around $20, but I want to be sure it will fix a problem.Comment

Re: VIORE 32" - Power board problem?
what readings do you get on the transistors and diodes on the heatsinks? q1,2,3 etc. d1,2,3 etc.Comment

Re: VIORE 32" - Power board problem?
what are the numbers on q1,2,and 3 and d1,2,and 3? and how did you test them?Comment

Re: VIORE 32" - Power board problem?
what type of component tester? i mean what are the identification numbers on q1-3 and d1-3. you are positive they are good? do you have a multimeter?Comment

Re: VIORE 32" - Power board problem?
One like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-TRANSIST...-/400483229357
When they are not good, tester says "failed device" or gives weird readings like from just 2 probes instead of 3 and detects it as capacitor, etc.
I have multimeter too, but I don't want to unsolder those again.
What are the chances that problem is with power board and not something else? I really prefer to just replace power board because it seems too much hassle of detecting failed component on it.Comment

if you just want to buy and replace thats ok i thought you wanted to narrow it down and fix it....Comment

Re: VIORE 32" - Power board problem?
you can check components with a multimeter without desoldering them it just isn't as accurate and could give false readings but if the part is failed you can most likely tell by the readings. i am no expert but every tv i fixed so far i never desoldered any components to figure out which 1 was bad just using a multimeter most of the time you can figure it outComment

Re: VIORE 32" - Power board problem?
and you could check the ones under the heatsink by testing the bottom of the board where the leads are to test if you can't get to them under the heatsink... just sayingComment

Re: VIORE 32" - Power board problem?
I got tester for caps mainly because I can't test them with multimeter and onboard. In my experience 50% of times failed caps looked normal, not bloated, etc.Comment

if you want to buy a board i would say the power board is bad...but if you have a multimeter handy i would check some of the diode and transistorsComment

Re: VIORE 32" - Power board problem?
I just tested another one D4 on heatsink, not sure how to read it, but I used guide I found on this forum:
7.1 Voltage regulators
-------------------------
Voltage regulators (U designation) can be bad. They can be shorted or output the incorrect voltage. The test described below only tests the former.
If you have a manual range multimeter, set it to 200 ohms (two hundred). You can test voltage regulators "in circuit" for shorts by (power off and unplugged)
a) black on pin 1- red on pin 2 - record ohms
b) black on pin 1- red on pin 3 - record ohms
c) black on pin 2- red on pin 3 - record ohms
If any ohm reading is less than 30 ohm you might have shorted voltage regulator. Remove from circuit and repeat the tests to verify.
Results -
a) 0.7-0.8
b) 167
c) 167
Is that means this one is bad?Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by Destroyer-Br[HELP] Acer AN515-55 (LA-J871P Rev: 1B) – Board won't power on after GPU investigation – Suspecting Super I/O or PCH
Hi everyone,
I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:- Motherboard: LA-J871P Rev: 1B
- Model: Acer AN515-55-59MT
- S/N: NHQ7JAL00403906A973400

Initial Issue
The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.
After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled... -
by Dani_2024Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO
Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...5 Photos -
by sam_sam_samI did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow
This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Issue: No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change
Short answer: replace main board and power board
Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.
Long answer:
TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge.... - Loading...
