    LG 42LG3000 fault

    Hi folks , picked up this TV with the fault in the picture , sometime i switch it on and it works fine but when i switch it off again i get this fault ...




    any ideas ?

      Disconnect one of the cables from the panel driver boards to the t con and power up... view results, plug back in and do it to other side... power up and view results

          ive seen it before on a laptop LCD panel , just seems a bit odd that it works sometimes, ill do as newtothis says and report back later.

            I've seen a bad tab bond cause this, especially intermittent. Is the panel made by ChiMei? Their 26" 720p panels often suffer from this.

              What do you mean like " plug back in and do it to other side....."
              I have the same simptoms, i replace the t-con module(new one), and nothing happend.
              Any ideeas?

                try flexing the panel, see if display changes.
                Quit because THIS SITE LETS A ROGUE MEMBER TYPE ANY GARBAGE HE PLEASES AND THE POWERS THAT BE NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT SO HE NEVER QUITS. THEN YOU GET A PENALTY FOR RESPONDING TO HIS ATTACKS. BEEN GOING ON FOR WAY TOO LONG. DONE SUPPORTING A SITE THAT ALLOWS THIS BS.

                  If the symptoms are the same as the OP and tcon didn't help you can be pretty sure its a bad panel
