    Sharp LC-60E77UN Backlight Problem

    Hello
I have a 60 inch sharp lcd tv. I purchased the tv for 200 with a backlight
problem. After checking tv out I found Master inverter board bad. I replaced
board and tv worked fine for over a year. I started getting flashing in the
back lights while watching tv. I adjusted backlights brighter and it helped
for awhile. Then I had to keep turning brighter untill one day they just
quit working. I have steady blinking green light and tv will not come on.
When I try to enter service mode backlights flash for a split second then
back to blinking green light. I have removed back off set. I have changed
inverter boards due to having a extra set. My question is is there a way
to turn/bypass protection off so I can see how many lights are out. Ive
never changed the backlights in sets so Im a little hesitant untill I can see
for sure it is a bad ccfl.

    Thanks
    L Leonard

I believe this is the sequence: With the tv unplugged, hold down the Input and Volume-Down buttons simultaneously, then plug in the tv.

Did you ever find what the problem was? I have a set doing the same thing and don't want to waste money on inverter boards if its burnt out ccfl lamps.

Had one, found burnt wires on the main inverter[the one on the left]
