Sanyo DP50719 Plasma Turns On & Off w/Clicks

I am working on a Sanyo DP50719 plasma where it turns on with a light grey screen (no image) then shuts off about every 15 seconds & then powers up then cycles over & over. There is a green light on the front & on one of the boards which is on & off when the tv cycle. Thanks for any help.

I had to replace the X sustain board before I could get to your situation though. Now it turns on with same problems as yours. Before the newer X was replaced, the TV would cut off in 3-5 seconds. (cut off due to bad board). I also noticed that when I disconnect the Main Board (not the main logic) from the Main Logic board, that the TV stays on regardless.

Sorry for all the posts, but I am new and we NEED pictures (from my experience on the forums), correct me if these pictures are not the same as your TVs insides. If so I will start a different thread.

And to clarify, when he says the screen lights up grey, it does but if we press volume up/down or channel up/down we (I think) don't get any reaction on the screen from these actions.

We need help! I have seen online where it could be logic board or main board issues

After some more checking, the board that I believe to be the X sustain board on the far right... it's heatsink does not get hot or warm, think I could have gotten a bad X sus from shopjimmy?

Can connect the Main and Logic board back up when the tv is powered on and it will go back into original problem cycle. 15-20 seconds of on with no picture, then shut off and come back on..

I have the same problem with the same set. Turns on for 10-15 seconds then off for 2- 3 seconds and repete. Does anyone know what goes wrong on the main board? I see people offering to repair the boards, is the a common component that goes bad that i could do the repair myself?

The IC 5750A you receive will have software 84 installed in it. If
IC 5700's manufacture is Quimonda or TV is a 52" then the
software will need to be changed with the use of a USB drive.
Note : Only use this software in the Sanyo TVs listed.
If used in wrong chassis, it could cause TV not to come
on and IC 5750 will need to be changed again.

Has this fix worked for anyone? I'm having the same issue need to confirm before purchase. Also I saw that someone said there was a need to reprogram?
