    KDL-32L5000 Picture problems

I picked up a KDL-32L5000 there are horizontal bars moving from top to bottom on the lower 3/4 of the screen. I already checked all of the tab bonds and applied pressure to all of the ribbons. No change. I used spray freeze and found that the image corrected itself when I froze the upper right hand side of the metal frame holding in the screen. Behind that spot, on the back side of the tv, is the inverter. I took off the frame and pressed along the whole right side of the screen itself, removed and put back on the inverter, and am having the same issues. Not sure where to go from here. I've read that it is most likely the tab bonds or the tcon, but why would the image appear correct when freezing the right hand side? The only ribbons attached to the screen are along the top. All that's under the frame in that spot is plastic.

    Thanks in advance.

You cool down the TFT driver ICs (little rectangular IC) which bonded to the flexible circuit board between the LCD glass panel and the tab, those ICs run hot and they use the frame as the heat sink.

So, this one is dead then? I've searched around and I haven't seen anyone replacing the IC you speak of. I'm assuming it got to hot at some point and fried out...

        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
        by TR103
        Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
        - sound and backlight, but no picture
        - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
        - it keeps rebooting
        - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
        - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
        - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

        - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.
        by Rozp
        Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

43UM7100PLB, no picture but have half picture when i disconnect 1 side of panel
        by sigmeyer
Like the title says , this is a very interesting problem , never experienced this before so i thought i'd share and maybe get some help on this. So the problem is as such: TV comes on , some gibberish flashes on screen and the screen remains black , the owner of tv said he heard sound. Now i checked some things cleaned all connections first of all so i dont run in a circle. Then i disconnected one of the cables for the panel , and viola, the left side of screen comes on, then i tried to switch it , with left side disconnected and right connected. Same problem persists. I checked some voltages...

        Graphics Card mounting frame
        by Kemer
Hello, I removed the graphics card from my laptop and I want to heat it in the oven. What I want to ask is, is it okay to heat the card without removing the metal mounting frame on it?

As you can see in the photo, there is a plastic (black) gasket between the metal frame and the card. It sticks the frame tightly to the card.

I previously removed the metal frame while heating it, but it is quite difficult to separate it from the surface it is attached to. If there is no problem, I do not want to remove it.

What worries me right now is the possibility that...
