The fuse in my Samsung Plasma E-Buffer board is blown because of a power outage in my house. I jumped the fuse for a few minutes to see if the set was fine and it was. How safe is it to just leave the fuse jumped? would it be ok? If not I have included a picture of the fuse so someone can tell me what type of fuse it is. I know its specs, but I don't know what kind it is. Is it a pico fuse?

Re: Samsung Plasma E-Buffer board Fuse PLEASE HELP!!!
I'm assuming you're talking about the fuse that's labeled F2500. You're going to want to replace that fuse (notice the warning about a risk of fire). That's a ceramic surface mount fuse like this one: http://www.newark.com/littelfuse/044...lay/dp/01P9283

I'm not sure I understand your question, and I think you're making it too hard. I would just use the soldering iron method I explained earlier to remove the replacement fuse from the donor board and to remove the bad fuse from your plasma's board, or I would just put the replacement fuse on top of the bad one and call it good.Last edited by capkid; 09-05-2013, 12:57 PM.

Re: Samsung Plasma E-Buffer board Fuse PLEASE HELP!!!
Have a similar issue picture went all of a sudden but sound ok. Samsung model PS50B451B2W screen just glows grey with no picture or graphics. Have now discovered that fuse is open circuit on e buffer along the bottom of screen. Interested to know whether your tv that you replaced the fuse is still ok? Just in case the fuse did blow for any reason can someone advise whether its possible to replace this board or is it tab bonded to screen? If it cant be replaced would it be possible to repair this board in situ??
Grateful for any help or advise in advance

It's a common issue on these panels, blows without obvious cause. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung Plasma E-Buffer board Fuse PLEASE HELP!!!
If the fuse blows again (within a few seconds), the plasma panel is bad or the C board is bad. Most likely, panel, which isn't repairable. Hope it fixes it.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung Plasma E-Buffer board Fuse PLEASE HELP!!!
Good information here. I'm just reading around. Never saw a ceramic surface mount fuse before...
I suppose de-soldering one side would lift and damage the pad/trace?
I work for a PCB manufacturer but we don't do any of the stuffing.Last edited by D.T.; 12-02-2013, 09:54 AM.

It's easy enough to remove them by just flooding each end with solder. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung Plasma E-Buffer board Fuse PLEASE HELP!!!
Found the reason why the fuse blew on E Buffer board (LJ41 06244a). E buffer board is attached to F buffer board (lj41 06245a) at bottom right of panel. One of the smd caps has blown violently ( blackened and shattered ) circuit board ref is c2632 (3.30uf). Dont know why this cap would have failed like this. Cant see any other failed components. In your opinion is it likely a panel fault would have caused this or would it be worth trying to replace it first together with ceramic fuse??

Likely that cap went on it's own accord. Typical value would be 330n/100V 1210 size X5R/X7R class. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
