Re: Samsung Plasma E-Buffer board Fuse PLEASE HELP!!!
Good information here. I'm just reading around. Never saw a ceramic surface mount fuse before...
I suppose de-soldering one side would lift and damage the pad/trace?
I work for a PCB manufacturer but we don't do any of the stuffing.

Re: Olevia 747-b11 power on, screen dark
I agree.
Anyway, I went to the rat shack and they only had 3 of the capacitors I was looking for. So I de-soldered the bad caps I had to replace (4 of 9) and just wanted to see if it would work.
Wa La! I'm back in action! Sound and video works great!
Thanks to this site.

Olevia has support at Sears. That's where I got mine in 2007.

seems to have some of the parts available for the big LCD TV's...
Power supply for mine at $100 bucks.

Re: Olevia 747-b11 power on, screen dark
I'm going through something similar with a 242-S11.
I found 9 bulged caps on the power supply. Found the whole board on fleabay new and used. Found cap repair kit on Amazon too. Probably going to get the cap repair kit.
Mine has a FSP271-4F02 power supply, the one you have is different. But I saw it on fleabay. That number is located on the component side of my PS.
I found this vid that might help the OP...

Re: Capxon Capacitors?
No rat shack?? Looks like they use NTE caps.
I know about digi key & newark. I'll have to wait a week to get those.
How about the cap repair kits on Amazon for $20 bucks?Last edited by D.T.; 11-30-2013, 07:47 PM.

Re: Capxon Capacitors?
I have a bunch in my FSP271 power supply in my Olevia TV that just failed.
I found 9 bulged ones and I'll try the rat shack tomorrow for the caps.
Found a new power supply on fleabay for $250 + $99 shipping.
2007 is the mfg date.

Re: olevia 242 s11, replaced all big caps in psu and others, still no go
I am going through the same thing right now. I shut the tv down and the sound came back. Unplugged the TV for ten hours and now no sound again.
I have my 120V CPU speakers plugged into the head phone jack for now. Looks like I better get the capacitor kit ordered...

Re: Olevia 242FHD-T11 --- no apparent power
OK I read the sticky post above about troubleshooting TV and I unplugged my TV for about 15 minutes. I was going to use my CPU speakers with the jack but now my audio works!
Not sure how long it will last. I'm going to unplug my TV here when I go to work. I think a power supply may be overheating and going bad...

Re: Olevia 242FHD-T11 --- no apparent power
My 242-s11 just lost audio. No sound from the speakers. Using the home theater for sound now.
I'm searching the internet for solutions too! I have replaced caps in a CPU monitor that was "bad" before to fix it.
I'm hoping that my caps are going bad and will keep searching for a solution!
I found a cap kit on amazon for $18 bucks too.
