LG 42LH30 half screen kinda not working

So I bought a LG 42LH30 off a lady that only the right half of the screen was working. So I took it apart no bad caps and I disconnected the left side ribbon cable that goes from the lcd panel to the t con board ad I re seated it and it worked fine no problem. Turned it off and then back on worked like a charm. So I let it sit for a day and come back the next day and just plug it up to power no video and it gets the whole screen snow like usual but you can see a line down the center dividing the two sides of the screen and then only a couple of times the screen on the left side at the top would flash a couple horizontal lines but only a couple times. So I hit the top of the tv and then it works like a charm. Is this a bad connection at the circuit board on the lcd panel. The tv is from late 09.

You may need a new T-CON. You might also want to try cleaning your connectors and cable ends with electronic contact cleaner.

I didn't think to use electronic contact cleaner. I will try that on the ribbon cable and see. I had a similar issue with a 26 in samsung before where the picture was not on but the backlight was on and I took the ribbon cable out and reseated it and it came right in. But if you let it sit for a day or two it would do it again and sometimes if you hit the top it will work fine. Come to find out it supposedly was a problem with the lcd panel cause I swapped the tcon on it and the lcds cable and it didn't solve it. But I will try the cleaner and let ya know what happens

        Could be tab bonds too.

That's what I'm afraid of is the tab bonds being bad. Anyone know a way to fix the connection of a tab.

It seems like this model has panel issues - lots of "half screen not working" references online.

I've fixed 42LH3000 with bad tab bonds, common issue with these AUO-based LGs.
