FB: signal which drops as power supply nears the output voltage (usually) only used to keep control loop inside VIPER under regulation. Opto drives it.

Isense: measures current flowing through primary to sense anomalous conditions, such as output short circuit -- if one of these occurs the device will usually latch off for some time (before resetting) or permanently (until power is cycled.)

OK thanks. So doesn't sound like the issue I'm having as it reboots after just a few seconds.

        Re: Medion MD41527 PS b/d hissing/crackling noise

I reflowed various solder joints and the worst of the noise has now gone but the tv is still switching itself off at around 14 mins or so.
So decided to place a large desk fan in front of the PS b/d whilst tv running and it stays on, for over 40 mins, a lot longer than without it.
Remove the desk fan and the tv switched off after 14 mins.

So this is definately an overheating issue for whatever reason, so what is the most likely component to be causing this or how to determine. I know it could still be a solder joint so not totally ruled that out.

        Thanks

Hi ? i d love to share many experiences about this Delta psu that will help many others having excact the same problem !
I still havent figure what exactly should i replace to stop the noise buzz BUT, i can help pretty good enough! 1st to those who the tv is swithcing after 10 or 15 mins of operation, just add a simle computer fan above the psu (back of the TV) no need to fit it once and for all there ,just to see that your tv will now operate for months without failing (shut Down) . 2nd i ve replaced the factory viper IC8 8pin chip which is 22A with one of 12A AND the sound that was coming from the large blue cap just under the transformer, has reduced its noise by 80%, not a big comfuse as you can now many understand that it has to do something with the current voltage through the Viper IC , tv still works fine without shutting down , no fan for cooland , Vibrate was also coming from mine blue capacitor as well when i was pressing it a bit towards the panel, I dont want what to do next but i think u may share some options with me coz i ve spend many hours and i m in pretty good state right now! Sorry if my English is bad, regards from Greece

open the tv again , remove the heta sinks which cover the capacitors, both of them, assemble back cover once again then use a simple fan and check again
            mine stays on for days

,,There is a heatsink plate that fits over the top of the boards, not shown in the photo".
Suffice it to fit and noise will disappear.

Dead Thinkpad E15, hissing noise from BQ25710
                by badcappo
Hello there, got a Thinkpad E15 on the bench, almost no vital signs. Only things: Power button white LED flashes several times when USB-PD gets connected (number of flashes varies from three up to twelve times, sometimes no reaction at all). Battery charge indicator LED stays orange. Most interesting is hissing / whining sound from Battery Charge Controller IC BQ25710 on the keyboard side of the main pcb. Board fuses tested and intact, no shorts found so far. BQ25710 is also the only thing on the board to become warm in thermal image (below 70 °C). Thanks for any hint.

Removing electrical noise introduced by fan
                by tony359
                Hi all,

I am working on a sound processor, it tends to overheat so I fitted a fan inside. The fan is connected to the +15V of the PSU via a DC-DC converter based on the LM2596 to reduce the voltage to around 10.5V.

Unfortunately the analogue circuitry is picking up the noise from the fan in two ways:
                1. The fan is close to the analogue section, the motor itself gets into the outputs so I'll have to move it somewhere else
                2. Even with the fan running outside of the case, there is still some noise which is clearly going back to the processor via power line....

The keyboard makes random entries and I don't seem to be the only one. Someone on this board has the same problem. I had BIOS version 207 installed and the BIOS version that Medion Support offers here as 209.

Onkyo TX-SR805 noise in one channel
                by MegaZAC
Surprisingly enough, this receiver doesn't have the DSP chip issue. The HDMI board does not get hot, and sound over HDMI works fine.

Regardless of the input, the right channel has noise that is clearly noticeable even on average volume level. The only cases when there's no noise is when VCR input is selected (some tracks on the board are damaged, maybe that's why), or if HDMI input is selected but nothing plugged into it. In all other cases, even when no input is connected I still have the noise.

There's some logic behind it. As soon as I select an input I get only left...

DynAudio DBM50 Monitor Speaker - loud hissing noise
                by dicky96
                Hi guys
I have a DynAudio DBM50 here - it makes a loud hissing noise.

It sounds just like an FM radio with no antenna (or tuned off-station). The volume of the hissing fades up and down, sometimes drops to almost nothing then comes back loud. It occasionally makes a loud bump noise too.

It does this even with nothing connected to the audio input XLR

                Any suggestions?...
