samsung LN-T4066F rainbow colors on screen

Here are the issues I am having which is a 3-4 step process for the tv to have perfect display

When I first power on the tv I get all these wonderful colors on the screen like I am on some drug
Pleas see first 2 pics

I have to let the tv "warm up" for about 3-5 minutes
Then I turn it off for 1-2 minutes

I power it back on then the colors are gone but you can still see some of the pixels are off color
See 3rd pic

Then I have to turn off tv for another 2-3 minutes
At this point I power on the tv and the display is perfect with no rainbow colors or pixels

I really don't care about the process it takes to turn on since its my sons tv but I would like to fix it

I took apart the cover and found some blown caps on the power supply
I ordered the caps hopefully I get them on Monday

But I dont think the caps are causing the rainbow colors I think its a bad tcon board but its just a guess

It could be the t-con, but you'll obviously know better after the caps are changed.

I forgot to mention that the rainbow colors do NOT come back when the tv is on

My son can be playing xbox for hours and the colors do NOT come back

Only after the tv has been off for more than an hour the colors come back

Bad capacitors can cause this issue, so I would definitely change them for Panasonic FR/FM/FC before doing any other diagnosis.

Hopefully changing the caps wikl fix this issue then it will be an easy fix

Just recently repaired this model TV. Sometimes it would not turn on and or give a colored screen. Changing the capacitors fixed the issue.

Yes tom66 and glitcher is correct

it was the caps

I replaced all 8 and now the tv works perfectly

Great to hear, another TV fixed and saved from landfill.
