Those can be tested if the BRI signal is found to be solid. If the BRI is varying there is no point in testing them because they would not be causing the fault. Ok tom, update:
At standby i get 0.06
Then switch on values from bright to off is:
3.24 then
1.71 then
a range from 0.70 - 1.00
It goes through each stage quite quick so this is the rough values i get. Are these in normal limits? whats next to try?Comment

that plug goes to the main board though dosent it, would the fault be coming from the power supply to the main board or coming from it? if that makes sense lolComment

That was the brightness pin that i tested so in theory it would drop in voltage as it gets dimmer i would have thought?Comment

The signal is from the main board to the inverter or power supply, a lower voltage indicates the backlight is requested to be dimmer. (0V=10% bright (min), 3V=100% bright)Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Ok ive just tried that, put the update onto usb and put it in, but it doesnt give you enough time to do anything as it turns off after the 3 stages of dimness

Hmm. OK.

ive just tried that, just get the menu boxes up...the tv prob stays on for 10 secs or so while it does the 3 stages then powers off so doesnt give time to do anything.Comment

Hi,
I have this almost brand new Plasma was well stored. I would like to repair it for a friend of mine.
I have noticed that it works for few seconds then switches Off the Power_ On signal. Have disconnected boards and left maion board and power supply and still the same. The power supply with PS_ON and VA signals On stays on so it is not a problem in the power supply.

When compared to a direct VGA connection, these 2 switches both output a darker image. The switches are:
4-port Omniview Pro2 f1dz104t
8-port Omniview either f1da108t OR f1dz108t (look and function same, OSD may be only difference.)
The 4 is dimmer, the 8 is massively dimmer - both with same AC adapter and cabling.
AD ADAPTER:
There were issues with previous AC adapter, it failed during lightning strike that blew up TV and other stuff and tripped a 15 amp breaker in the main panel which also had a whole house Cutler Hammer surge... -
Hisense H60N5705 installed in a conference room, turns off automatically a few minutes after being switched on.
Problem occurred suddenly, during a video conference. Switched on again by the remote control, it continued to work for a while and then switched off again.
Power cable and HDMI cable checked.
No changes by connecting the TV to another source but, even if it is left on the OSD menu, it stays on for a few minutes and then switches off.
So they took the TV (a 60' which is not easy to handle) to the lab and asked me to check it.

These switches are bad and I need a replacement.
The dimension are:
L: 10mm
W: 5mm
H: 4.5mm
Pins are 5mm center to center both length wise and width wise.
Any help would be appreciated.... -
MSI GP62 6QF - powers on, keyboard and power button lights up, then switches off.
Motherboard is: MS-16J51 (i think).
Symptoms:
1) press power button: keyboard and power button leds light up.
a) nothing on the screen.
b) fans are not spinning.
c) no sounds.
2) after about 1 min 15 secs the laptop switches off.

Not sure this board has a separate flash chip for the EC....
