Just brought another repair project....its an LED LG 42" tv (model number above) when u switch on u can here the relay click but screen is completely blank..relay also clicks when switched off.
Any help would be appreciated?
is there anything i can check myself?
Can post up any pics if it would help.

Just to let u know it was the inverter board at fault. Board replaced and working fine now.

i guess so, but how far do u go. do u keep buying the same part and get the same part everytime only to find it faulty or so u think lol, u could never get to the bottom of it unless u had a completely working tv the same and swap out each board till u get the right one.Leave a comment:

Personally i think the main board is fine, its highly unlikely both main boards new and old would have the same fault?Leave a comment:

Well its not the main board, got a replacement today and its still doing it. Could it be a bad TCON board or the inverter?Leave a comment:

ive just tried that, just get the menu boxes up...the tv prob stays on for 10 secs or so while it does the 3 stages then powers off so doesnt give time to do anything.Leave a comment:

Ok ive just tried that, put the update onto usb and put it in, but it doesnt give you enough time to do anything as it turns off after the 3 stages of dimness
