T-con would be the first place I look.

Any chance you'd actually like to test it before swapping boards at random?

See the short white object with the two gold pads at either end? Set your multimeter to 200 ohms and stick it across it. What do you read?

OK, now install the board in the TV, connect it up, set your meter to DC20V, place black probe of meter on the TV metal chassis and red probe on each end of fuse. What do you measure?

ok tested it like you said one side started with 4.1 volts then the other side had 5.1 volts but they both seemed to die off ? (but maybe that was where the backlight switches on and off )could not get a constant current though !

Can you show me what setting your meter is on by taking a picture of it?
Also, try measuring a fresh 1.5V battery and see if the reading is accurate.

So before with 4.1V / 5.1V your meter was in error?

OK, I've highlighted some test points.

RED circled device: Report part number e.g. AB1117-33 and measure the voltage on each pin (DC 20V, red probe on each pin, black probe on chassis, TV switched on.)

BLUE test points: Measure voltage at nearest exposed metal, using same method.

Also, try seeing if disconnecting one ribbon allows half the screen to work, try with one ribbon removed at a time.

edit: Ignore the blue dot on the ribbon connector.

part number but so small i think is RT9154A/16GLA38TN

but i must say the 15.3 volt reading i really struggled to get a good reading

                                      Re: LG 32lg7000

You are getting +7.7V on the point near VGL, or -7.7V?

You can ignore the connector ribbon test point (top right), I drew that accidentally and saved the file before it was too late.

The regulator readings don't make much sense, and unfortunately I can't find a datasheet for it.

Please try with half the panel ribbons disconnected and see how it goes.
