Not necessarily, 5 blink 5v SOS so check the P5V lines. With the SC board disconnected from everything , measure resistance SC20 pin 35 (or TP16,17) to gnd.

Measure SC20 Pin35 to SC46 pin 1, I'm curious to see if the 5V fed from the A board also feeds the 5V at the SD board as well.

You mentioned a low resistance on the 15V line is that still the case?

Have you resistance checked the SD/SU boards yet just in case they're bad as well?

If you're testing the SC with the buffers connected, If it was me I'd test wit SC50 jumpered and buffers isolated until you sort the SC out assuming you want to keep fault finding.

I added some 5v & 15v points snaps from the PDF in my earlier post, did not see you were online still.

weird, I'll grab a buffer and check what mine does although different board.

no good , I don't have 5v going in at SD46, we could try connecting that sd back to the sc and re-measure the 5v in SC20 again and see if any change there.

I was expecting to see the 5V shorted somewhere?

Maybe you're right, this is a schematic from a 42px10 with 5v at pin 1 sd46 but it looks like it goes nowhere not sure if i'm reading the diagram correctly but being dual layer it shows 46b which could be the underside, maybe tom can nut it out.

Probably 2nd connector for different screen size variant with different mechanical properties.

ok know this isnt fixing the board but...
i have the exact same everything wrong with my sc board as you...
i got impatient and just bought a board off ebay for 75 dollars
its not as glamorous as fixing your own board as i like to do
but this one just seemed really hard to fix and i was afraid that if i dint get all the problems that i may fry something else

it fixed it perfectly and has been working 24 hours now
my not be the most satisfying but if it works...

exact everything even same parts burnt
just look at compleated listings they come on all the time for 50-100 from recyclers that get broken screen tvs just keep the # for the sc board in your search on ebay and check it a few times a day. only took me 24 hours and one popped up. so i hit the buy it now asap. had the board in a few days. also i sent messages to the sellers that sold them in past asking if they have any more and told them my model # incase they had one sitting there ready to scrap that they hadent yet.

one seems to pop up every week or so 2 max just be ready. also my point is i think all your problems are that board realated. not something that will cause that new one to burn out as i did not have that problem at all good luck

I don't know, very confused. You're saying they're alternate fitments?

Hi everyone, I have a Panasonic OLED TV model 55EZ950E, as soon as I turn it on I don't have any image the LED goes from green to red LED blinking every 4 sec, I found the service manual suggests checking OLED PANEL, PB BOARD, T-CON connectors but it seems like everything ok, I didn't find any burns under the pb board
I attach a link to download the service manual, thank you for anyone who can help me

                                            Hi Badcaps,

I've had a friend discard a TH-65DX700Z Pansonic Viera Television and I've decided to have a go at repairing it. If possible could I please get some advice in terms of diagnosing the problem so I can purchase the appropriate parts for repair whether it be components, a repair kit or a replacement board. I am happy to post pictures if required.

                                            TV Details:

                                            Model # - TH-65DX700Z

                                            Symptoms:

The television turns on and displays a picture then makes a clicking sound and turns off.

I haven't opened it up yet but...

After watching some youtube videos and checking some forums, I'm at a loss. With both ribbon cables connected, we have no image. With the left one pulled out, the screen is black and white, split down the middle. With the right cable removed, it is all black. Backlight is working fine and we have sound and can open applications. We are strapped for money right now and are hoping to repair whatever the issue may be. I think the TV was manufactured in 2012, so I'm aware that may not be possible. Edit: Found a single vertical line of blue pixels on the left side of the screen with one of the ribbon...

Dead Panasonic Viera TX-P65STW50 Plasma TV

Hello, got a ST50 plasma TV for repair. No signs of life, not even blink codes. Opened it up to check the power supply, type MPF6914. Apparent issues from visual detection and measuring for shorts:
                                            Diode type G972s6 - D101 with a short
                                            Mosfet 06N90E - Q301 shorted
                                            Fuse T5AH 250V - F103 blown
                                            Diode D301 shorted
                                            Relay DG1U-17VDC II - RL001 blown

I have not found a circuit diagram. Maybe someone here already dealt with a similar issue? Thanks for tips where else to check 😀...

                                            Hello there,

Google led me again to badcaps when trying to troubleshoot a dying Plasma that is sitting at my uncle's roughly 550 km from where I am. It's an old G20 from 2010 or so, that isn't being actively used so you can consider the panel "not too sollicitated".

Symptoms: TV starts, works for 5-10 minutes, then screen turns black and safety kicks in and spits a 13-blink code with the red LED. Once this code kicks in, the TV will not display any image anymore. Unplug it for a few minutes, plug it again, it'll work then fail a few minutes later.
                                            ...
