After watching some youtube videos and checking some forums, I'm at a loss. With both ribbon cables connected, we have no image. With the left one pulled out, the screen is black and white, split down the middle. With the right cable removed, it is all black. Backlight is working fine and we have sound and can open applications. We are strapped for money right now and are hoping to repair whatever the issue may be. I think the TV was manufactured in 2012, so I'm aware that may not be possible. Edit: Found a single vertical line of blue pixels on the left side of the screen with one of the ribbon cables removed. Is it possible to do the scotch tape fix on the ribbon cable?

The TV model is TCL47e5. It didnt have any stickers on the back so the panel is what I had to go off of at the time. Had to dig deep for the model really. Im aware it CAN be a bad T-con, is the only way to check that to find a T-con from 2012 and see if it works? Are T-con boards proprietary to the model of TV?Comment

by Tr0llHi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... -
by cagriI have an Arcelik TV with BOE HV650QUB-F70 TCON board, but I think there's an issue with/around PMIC.
PMIC: iML8940
There is backlight and sound, but no picture. I watched a YouTube video and turned it off, half an hour later it was dead.
Input 12v, fuse ok
DVDD1V2 = 1.2v
DVDD1V8 = 1.8v
DVDD3V3 = 3.3v
VGL = -7v
**VGH = -0.3v
**VCOM0, AVDD, HAVDD = 0v
SWBK1 = 3.3v
SW1 = 12v
VGH to GND resistance is 500kohm as expected
Readings are same after I disconnected the two cables from TCON to panel... -
by JSBJSBHello everyone,
so I have this problem with this OLED that had a LED blinking issue at first.
It was blinking twice so it means according to similar service manuals (I cannot find the proper one) EVDD 24V SOS, Panel or TCON Fault.
Also, the connector from PSU to TCON which supplies 24V was burned (changed it) and saw threads about this topic but didn't relate completely to mine.
First thing was to tape the signal ERRORDETECTION so it would try to initialize. And it didn't so I unplugged the panel from TCON.
Then it started up and went to green light...3 Photos -
by Ancient1Hi
The TV seem to start ( blinking green) but goes into blinking red. No display and or backlight. Full view photo.
Actions :
1. Disconnected Panel's Right, 2nd, board : TV comes ON (steady green , no blinking red )
1a. You can see in two photos the B/W screen , fading blue "HDMI12" , and the wierd sides of the image, like an old CRT.
Obviously the fault is from or on the Right, secondary board
2. I taped the Flex tracks, ~2 tracks at a time- see Photo. The issue seems to be on the V lines (Assuming Data...09-03-2023, 03:51 AM -
by x_orange90_xJust bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...
