Re: Panasonic TC-P50G10 10 blink code

Managed to successfully replace IC3001 and now it seems all the inputs are working, at least HDMI, component, and the RCA's.

A few pads that were damaged were unused, a couple were loose and I had to carefully align, and I had to solder a small strand of wire on one.

One pin I could not fix was labeled as AG_VIDEO_STATUS, I'm not sure what it does but it doesn't seem to affect anything major.

Probably the no signal indicator, glad you got it working!

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G10 10 blink code

I know its been a long time since this thread was in use but I have the same TV and have been getting flash codes. The first time was three, I reset the unit (by holding the power button down for 20 sec) and then got 5. Not being good and soldering or haveing the right testing components I just went with a board swap since both errors pointed to the A board. New board comes in, reset the unit again just to be sure and now it flashes just ONE. I switch back to the old board and that board too flashes just one.

According to the SM its the 5v STB sense time out. and again points at the A board which seems a little unlikely to me. So the other board would be POWER SUPPLY right? And where should I go from there.

I would try this first. disconnect SC2, SS11, P35, 3 white ribbons at the A board. then turn the TV on and see if you still get the 1,3 or 5 blinks, or if the TV turns on and stays on.

If it stays on, then A and PSU most likely good and would then look for either shorted SC or SS boards. This model does tend to blow the SC board.

Three ribbons off now its three flashes.... funny that it changed again. Does that mean anything?

3 ribbons plus sc2,ss11 and p35? Looking like A board issue, 3.3v SOS. Training guide simply suggests replace A board for 3 blink. Don't have time now but probably worth getting a copy of the manual and fault finding that path.

screen shot of the manual. there are some different numbers for the ss & sc boards.

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G10 10 blink code

                    Ah ok, I'll clarify.

On the SC board, disconnect plug at SC2, (Vsus from the PSU)
On the SS board, disconnect plug at SS11, (Vsus from the PSU)
Eseentially we're isolating all boards except the PSU and A board so if a blink exists it will be only one of those 2 boards causing the trigger.

Double checked, they were removed properly. Ireset the unit again and now I have four flashes which is the p board

OK pulled all the wires and disconnected the board. Still flashing... Since I have another A board and its flashing too it must be the Powersupply, right.

Looks that way, how many flashes this time? Both boards the same?

OK new PS and with everything disconnected to isolate the A board and power supply the unit just clicks three or for times then shuts off

Ok new PS and new A board with a reset it flashes once.... The manual has almost no information on the single flash. SIGH

Tested the STB 5v pins on the p25 & p7 both test ok. The 5v pin on the a33 ribbon does not show any voltage but that might because its not a Standby connection like the others.

Still one flashing, should I post this as a new thread?
