Vizio 321Vl No HDMI

This set works fine on all other inputs including antenna, but neither HDMI port works. I get a no signal message on the screen.
The blu ray player and cable work fine on another set. Any suggestions?

Surge or ESD damage to the HDMI receiver IC. Usually needs a new main board -- IC rarely commercially available.

There is a HDMI chip p/n: PI3HDMI301ZLE, check for any burn marks. If you have expert soldering skills you can replace that chip. its a SMD chip.

A magnify glass will be helpful to examine the PI3HDMI301ZLE

I also have the similiar symptom for the JVC Lt42FX77. The set is fine for the other input but not for the HIDI input. The first symptom is black screen with sound. After replace the inverter board, the picture appeared with sound but not for the HDMI input. Enter in service mode, it found that the Analoge board has problem. I try to find the analog board through e-bay but can not find one. As Tom66 said it is not easy to find the IC. I think I need to return the set to client.
