I also have the similiar symptom for the JVC Lt42FX77. The set is fine for the other input but not for the HIDI input. The first symptom is black screen with sound. After replace the inverter board, the picture appeared with sound but not for the HDMI input. Enter in service mode, it found that the Analoge board has problem. I try to find the analog board through e-bay but can not find one. As Tom66 said it is not easy to find the IC. I think I need to return the set to client.Leave a comment:

Usually if I found there is " two second to black screeb". I will displace the inverter board directly. Please let me know your outcome when you have replace the transformer.
It seems it should more cheaper to replace the broken than the entire inverter board.
