Re: Rca l42wd22 audio problems
If you hook up the powered speakers to the Auido line level output RCA RED/WHITE jacks, do you get the distorted sound there also? We need to find out if the problem is in the sound processing/ preamp/ or power amp section.Never stop learning

Re: Rca l42wd22 audio problems
Would you say it's very similar to what comes out of the speakers? It sounds like either power supply bad (low voltage to audio processor, possibly main board voltage regulator fault) or bad audio processor IC.Please do not PM me with questions! Re: Rca l42wd22 audio problems
The bad cap could easily cause that. Have you checked the supply voltages coming from the PSU? e.g. a low or unstable 5V or 12V might cause this. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.
The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...2 Photos -
by ajvpbHi all,
Hobbyist repairman here so I've reached the end of my troubleshooting abilities. The audio out of the FL+FR speakers is very distorted and almost unintelligible. BUT! That only applies to digital audio; Analog plays through just fine. The distortion carries to headphones if those are plugged in with audio from a digital source. All other speaker channels play fine regardless of digital or analog.
Previous experience with similar distorted audio has been bad resistors on the amp output - Could bad smd resistors on the hdmi board cause the same problem? My understanding...-

by NanoTestingThis audio chipset has been a pain to deal with, most of the time its impossible to find drivers for chinese laptops that have no name/brand, or generic rebranded laptops.
Huawei also started to use it BUT they no longer host drivers on their website since they want you to force their PC manager app that often refuses to install after bios flashing and apparently the generic drivers around wont work on some intel systems and others wont work on amd systems, the generic ones have worked only once and i think i have had this problem on 30+ laptops so far in the last year.02-21-2025, 12:33 AM -
by AimbitHey all,
Hopefully someone here knows about βvintageβ game systems.
I have a Sega CD and it runs perfectly fine except for two specific things I've seen so far.
1. The boot menu music is distorted, that is the jingle that plays on the loading screen with no disc inserted. It seems that is it specifically the bass line of the jingle. It is fully distorted/scratchy sounding.
2. I've only come across this issue in Spider-Man so far. During any cutscene when dialogue is playing, the audio will intermittently skip, the same way every time.... -
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...-
