I've seen some success with troubleshooting assistance for plasma tvs so I thought I'd give it a try. I have an LG 42PB4DA that I purchased just short of 5 years ago. And with the exception of one nagging problem, it's been a pretty good unit.
My issue doesn't seem to be constant and not necessarily repetetive. I can turn on a station, sometimes AMC, sometimes FX and maybe one other channel but most frequently these two. It will come on for maybe 3 or 4 seconds, the screen will freeze then I will here a sound like it's winding down and it goes to NO SIGNAL. In order to get anywhere from this I have to wait till the station attempts to come back on and before it's fully back I have to turn the channel.
I had read one time that a "fix" for this was to unplug the set when it happens and leave it unplugged for a couple of minutes. I assumed it was so all capacitors would discharge. However, it didn't resolve the problem.
Then I had read something about a board that held channel information may be deteriorating.
None the less, it's still a nagging problem.
Anyone else see this or found a resolution?
