@look, you are not getting STB (PS_ON) signal form the main board to turn on this power supply. The voltage reading is done after the power switch is activated?

I'm working on one of these right now. I can't actually see anything wrong. I tested all the caps but decided I don't trust the tester because brand new Panasonics that I tested came up about 100uf off. As for voltages, I have about 169v on the bridge rectifier and the same across the pfc. Output voltages are below. I think if I had a better multi meter and capacitor tester I could figure this out.

    +12v = 0
    +12v = 0
    GND
    GND
    GND
    +5v =0
    +5v =0
    +5VSB =5.2
    STB =0
    +5V =0
    +5v =0
    GND
    GND

    NO 24v all 0

Edit: I also tried freeze spray but nothing happened.

boo... I got my hopes up as I am trying to figure this out right now.. all caps look good, all voltages, the same... could anybody continue on with this diagnosis?

Good, the PFC is OK, if the 390v is not present, the 12v/24v circuit will not run. So now we need to check the 12v/24v SMP section. I will have to trace out the copper traces on the bottom side of the board to see how they are connected, it will be really time consuming task. Did you look and find out how much the new board will be yet?

The problem is in the power supply since it is getting the correct signal feeding it.
What voltage do you have on the two legs of the large filter cap (you will be working in the primary hot side, so be real careful not to touch anything), it should have about 380~400VDC on it.

    Hello, guys!

I have this Westinghouse 32" LCD TV that turns on, standby led lights up (blue) but no image. If I knock on the screen there's no backlight present. I took the back cover off and injected voltage on the led connector using a Led TV Backlight Tester, and no light at all, so... it must be that there's some bad Leds, right? Or there is some another testing that should I have to do? Any guiding I'll appreciate it very much. Thanks in advance!

    Westinghouse W55UW4620 No Video
    by Nicktronic
Ok, so I know I know, it's a Westinghouse....lol It's got the backlights but no video. Likely the panel, but I'd like to take some measurements on the buffer board with help from you experts to confirm. See the attached pictures. In pic #1, there's a nice pin reference to use to take some measurements. The large IC in pic #7 gets up to 60degC when the TV is on.

So, backlights, no video, go! 🙂...

Help Request - Westinghouse 32" Smart TV (Model: WD32HBR105)
    by EBW
Westinghouse 32" Smart TV (Model: WD32HBR105) . Originally stuck on logo with no response from remote and no firmware file available to flash via USB. Westinghouse Support stated it would require service but that wasn't a cost effective option. I used dental floss to remove the motherboard processor heatsink to identify what make it was (Mstar). Unfortunately that knowledge didn't help with a solution. After the heatsink removal it only displayed a completely white screen. I then decided to replace the motherboard with a universal 3-in-1 board but the white screen problem continued. This...

Westinghouse TV WD48FAB100 Not Powering On – Burn Mark Found on Power Supply
    by Seville
    Hello all!

Westinghouse TV WD48FAB100 Not Powering On – Burn Mark Found on Power Supply .

I have a Westinghouse LED TV, model WD48FAB100 that is not powering on. Upon removing the back cover, I noticed a burn mark where the AC cord connects to the power supply/main board. In this model, there is only one board combining the two functions. Previous owner said the TV experienced a lightening strike, but who knows. I checked the main fuse, tested OK. Here are a collection of readings from the power supply ports. Looking for some guidance on what to test/check next....

Hi All... Me again. Begging for help. The guy who now believes it's possible to fix a TV (one of the millions) one can find on the streets of NYC. I hate hate hate waste...

Thanks to y'all's help I fixed and am happily watching a 70inch Sharp Aquos. Perfect. Learned a lot, replaced LEDs. Pulled screen/panel. Proud.

This is a newer set. It's a Westinghouse Roku WR58UX4019. It was RIGHT outside my place literally, and I couldn't resist. 58in. 500$ new, but I'm not a rich man. So, I want to try.

There is sound. It turns off and on. Screen is black. I can...
