i will try to measure it. are these easy to obtain. would this ic cause the erratic stanby issues issues ie when tried it this morning started straight up turned of would not restart some times standby led on some times not no on board button response or remote response.Last edited by vinceroger69; 01-13-2013, 08:03 AM.Comment

well as these was made for Argos (a message came on the tv screen) i am not sure who made the boards they are date stamped 11 month 2010 so the sets not that old pity probably used some cheap board manufacture? seem a lot of these are going faulty ie standby issues/sound issues and screen freezing issues.

Looks like the board may be made by Creative Galaxy Electric anything on it like

Can you check that jumper resistor at JR1 looks like its just ground but it carries all the ground pins to the main board.Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

looks and checks out ok. to be honest the set did not cost me nothing (freecycle) i might just box it back up for now and put it in storage might come in handy for parts or another will turn up faulty at some time. you get much of you freecycle/freegle sites selldoor? picked and repaired some good items up recently ie a bush free sat box and remote control works very well also a very good digital camera and 2 4gb memory cards all leads carry case etc and loads of flat screen monitors just been putting them in storage may make a start on them soon. just going to go and purchase a esr meter first. so for now i will mark this thread as closed i think.Comment

I have been told I am not allowed to bring any more "Rubbish" into the house.
By chance I am meant to be collecting a 22in samsung tomorrow if they ever get back to me. Dont often get flat tvs - plenty fat tvs but I dont ever bother with them. I have 3 dyson dc4s on the go and several small tvs.monitors, a
mushroom disco light (son recovered it from a skip for me for christmas.)
Garage is full, loft is full , with bits of this and that just put aside for parts.
Just like you have done.
Trouble is, its all just a hobby for me and I cant be bothered selling stuff and
dont really need any of it. Anyway I did get a small plastic octagonal greenhouse off freecycle (No frame) so that is my next task , unless I get the tv tomorrow heheheh.Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

thats exactly what i got told but does it stop me no!! hobby for me as well i tend to fix stuff and never use it but have gave some items to a charity that help homeless people into new homes.are you self taught as well i am although many moons ago my uncle ran his own tv repair from home all crt stuff in the 70s lol learnt a lot from him wish i took more notice now though.Comment

I was getting excited then, two pages of stuff on this set... no conclusion. I got a pink one here and a sad little girl who wants it back. Ive replaced the power supply, with a supposedly new one. but its still sitting in stand by. I tested around alittle, theres ment to be 5v, but its seems to be being held down to 3.3v other than that im stumped. The dvd drive spins and will keep spinning if theres a disk in there. I would love to get this thing going. Im keeping an eye out for a main board, but it would be great to fix it.Comment

Hi everyone,
I have a NM-A321 board that is dead, with no power at all.
When I received the laptop, the +5VPMIC line was shorted. Removing the PU3 (ISL95905) solved the short, so I ordered and replaced the ISL.
With the new ISL, the short is gone, but still no voltages at all. I measured the following rails:- +3VALW
- +5VAUX
- 1.2VSUS_PWRGD
- 3VALW_PGD
- 1.05VAUX_PWRGD
Additionally, the ISL95906 (PU3) is not getting any voltage on the VIN rail.
The only place on the board where I find any voltage is on the first MOSFETs, specifically:... -
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Hello, the DSLR has heavyly fallen. It is dead : no sign of life and display nothing.
When it worked, it always displayed a card present state on LCD display, even when the battery is empty it display a empty battery symbol.
I found a dead fuse, I replaced it and a mosfet burnt, I changed it and another fuse burned. Nothing burned after. And I can't find any short circuit anywhere, it's weird.
Now, I try to understand how it works.

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.
Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today.... -
