It always seems to be the two outer tabs.
BTW, I have recently seen two 26" LCD TV with Chi-Mei panel, bad tab bonds as well, different symptoms though.
When will it end? Wonder if bottom mounted tabs will make a difference to reliability.
Older Panasonic plasmas are great for reliability, usually using Panasonic, Rubycon, Nichicon and United Chemicon capacitors, all excellent manufacturers. The TH-42PZ70BA has a single shorted fet problem (one of about 30 devices), usually going wrong after 6 years, otherwise, very good. Seems the newer ones aren't so reliable though :/
Bud, have you ever tackled plasmas? You seem to stick to LCD. I like to repair plasmas more though, lots of high power electronics...
