I assume you've done the "obvious" and reset all picture settings to defaults?

      Re: gray screen

i have done the reset to factory settings. just a few minutes ago it went to norm for about 1 second and back to the white and grayish screen again. tried to take a picture of it but didnt show right. the best way to describe it is like their is a white or gray cloud covering the picture. it goes to norm for a couple of seconds and the cloud comes back

        Re: gray screen

We have seen this before and it turned out to be the T-con board, which is usually less than $30 to replace. That would be my suggestion.
37LG10 is an LCD display. LG does not make any 37" plasmas, anyway.

            Re: gray screen

First, you would need to open up your TV and locate the part number written on the board.
If you post a picture of the inside of your TV we can locate the T-con for you.

Any pictures of the T-CON board, it can be as simple as blown surface mounted fuse on the T-CON board.

                    Re: gray screen

You can see WHITE surface mounted fuse on the left side of the bottom connector. You need to check (with the TV on) to see what DC voltage you have on both ends of the fuse, black probe of the DC voltmeter will be at the metal chassis, the red probe will be testing each end of the fuse for DC voltage, report what you find. Meter should be set to 20V scale.

quick question; can anyone tell me where the inverter board(s) are located on the lg model 37lg10-um? And also, how do remove the metal casing off of the t-con board from same model.

                        Re: gray screen

The inverter boards will quite likely be on either side of the TV. There may only be one board.

The inverter is not the fault in this case as the inverter is only responsible for backlighting the display. Since the display is well lit it is not the fault.

I have same problem. Voltage showing 12.65 on top of fuse and 12.88 on bottom. Any suggestions?

Usually AS15F IC on t-con board.

Not sure what that means. Best to get a new T-con board? Only ones I find are used boards on e-bay pulled from "working TVs."

If you can solder a chip on the board with 0.5mm pitch between leads, then replace the AS15F, otherwise, replace the board. The boards are pulls from TVs with cracked screens so receiving a dud is a possibility.

It's AF15U. I'm probably not that good at soldering. I'll look for a board. Thanks much!

                                      Hi Guys, new here.....
I have one of the LG 37LG10 LCD TV's with the white screen or white clouding syndrome. Rumor has it from the above thread that either the T-Conn board or the AF15U or equivalent will do the job. Has anyone successfully fixed the syndrome by replacing the card or chip? If so where can one get (1) chip, searching comes up with vendors that will sell you numerous batches but nary a one that will sell just 1. I realize I can go with the card but I am good at soldering, even the small packages. Help is appreciated..... Regards; JOE
