Re: LG LED 60LS5750 No Picture but Backlight OK

The one I chose on ebay was pretty random. I was seeing whether the part had to be exact or not.

Well, either way, I have been trying to find this t-con board for hours on end. I feel like I am either searching the for the wrong thing or looking in the wrong places. The board in the original post. Any help would be much appreciated.

Handytech, can you please tell us where you get the board from? What P/N did you use?

I got it off ebay for $50 from an individual who had a cracked screen LG 60LS5750 TV.

The only advice I have is to be patient. It will pop up again on ebay. You can also try a global search on ebay.

Do you know the exact numbers of the part? I can't find it anywhere online using the AGF76630001 number.

The one I have here from the board could be interpreted 2 ways, below are the options,

                RUNTK5119TPZZ

                or

                CPWBX5119TPZZ

AGF76630001 was just released by LG 2 months ago. Now they are showing out of stock and on back order.

I have removed the back casing from this unit and I have a red blinking light on my Driver Board. It is consistent and does not stop blinking.

Again, I have the exact same problem as the OP with the same model.

Well, if anyone still needs it or if this would help this situation in any way, here is the service manual.
I've been reading through it, trying to determine my best route I should take, but yea, there it is.

I got the blinking red light on led inverter board too. I ordered a t-con off ebay, got it in today plugged up and still no dice. I got sound but no picture, just a backlight screen.

I checked voltage on the t-con with tv on and had voltage into the main chip but none going out, so I reflowed the board at 220 c and now have voltage going out to the panel but still no pic.

I also noticed before the reflow I got no heat from the main chip but now it heats up like it should, haven't checked exact temp but guessing around 100-120 F.

I thought about a firmware upgrade maybe but not sure, anybody got a clue here.

I don't have mine anymore or would look and get it for you, sold mine as is on CL, tired of messing with it and think the panel was shot. After new main, t-con, power supply and led driver board still had no picture, got sound but just a blank backlit screen.

I got one of these with no picture, and the guy I got it from had a cracked screen one with all the cards. I changed the tcon and it worked again for about 2 months. Now it is randomly getting lines through the screen after it heats up. I believe it to be the same issue, since lg has issued a new replacement tcon for them. Unfortunately, those of us with non-warranty tv's we will likely have to wait. There is someone on ebay selling refurbishments. He wants your core, then he sends out a fixed runtk version back out to you. I would love to know which components are the issue. They ic's and smd work on this board is very fine, but I would definitely try, just to get it working again. Any info on which parts to replace/reflow, would be greatly appreciated.

                                    Hello

I have an LG60LS5750 TV as well. I suspect the timing control board has failed, however I would like to confirm that.

When I turn the TV on the back light comes on, but I get no picture. The LCD panel just generates a faint bluish purple tint.

Early in this thread it was suggested that we check the voltage on a fuse on the tcon board. I did that and found that it is around 12.3v on both sides of the fuse. However the large chip in the centre of the board never warms up. Since that chip is heat sinked I suspect it should get warm.

Also in this thread tom66 mentioned an oscilloscope but didn't say what to look for with it. I have access to a scope, can tom66 tell me what I need to look for with it? I'd like to try to confirm the tcon board is dead before I order a new one.

The part number of the tcon board is RUNTK5119tpzz. I see that it is sold out at most vendors. Is this a common problem with the LG 60LS5750.

                                    Any help would be appreciated.

Using a scope, you can check each of the input LVDS pairs and each of the output pairs. These are the differential traces.

                                        Hello.

Do I just attach the oscilloscope's ground to the ground plan of the tcon board, and then touch the oscilloscope probe to each of the wires on the lvds connector, or do I need to get a pinout of the connector and match up the various pairs and put the scope across the the pins of that pair on the connector?

The first one. Ground the scope as closely as possible to the T-con.
