Re: Is this 55" Hitachi a good buy? (lines on screen)
Is there a VS-ON or PDP-GO pin on the power supply going to the main board(s)?

Re: Is this 55" Hitachi a good buy? (lines on screen)
Both ego and ago are 0v, but I still have a feeling it's the power board that is causing the no picture. I guess I can order another one and see if it gives Vs with the y and x boards unhooked.Leave a comment:

Re: Is this 55" Hitachi a good buy? (lines on screen)
Vsego and Vsago might enable Vse and Vsa; but the other two... I'd GUESS they are the plasma specific voltages, but wouldn't be sure... it would be really strange for the sustain to turn on the Vs.Leave a comment:

Re: Is this 55" Hitachi a good buy? (lines on screen)
Hmm, ok. Well according to the service manuals block diagram, these 4 voltages are the only ones that go TO the power board everything else goes AWAY. So if there was something signaling the PSU to not generate Vs and Va, it would be in one of these 4 wires, right? Let me see if I can post the diagram.Leave a comment:

Re: Is this 55" Hitachi a good buy? (lines on screen)
They are used to encourage pixel emission or to erase the display. Generally if they're bad you'll still get a picture it'll just be dim or filled with sparkling pixels. Don't know what those each are for Hitachi plasmas.Leave a comment:

Re: Is this 55" Hitachi a good buy? (lines on screen)
Does anyone know what Vsego, Vsago, Vrs, or Vra stand for or what the value should be? According to the service manual (page 58b if you have it) these are all voltages that return from the panel back to the PSU. In actuality the harness connects the PSU and the logic board.Last edited by mattpd; 11-15-2012, 05:58 PM.Leave a comment:

I'm almost suspecting your power supply is faulty...Leave a comment:

Re: Is this 55" Hitachi a good buy? (lines on screen)
I hooked up only the connections necessary to power on and hear the sound (main and logic). I still get no 90v. Also, there are some voltages that are missing or weird that go to the main board. I will be able to test them in a few hours when I get home and I will tell you what it is.
I think that a faulty board may be signaling PSU to not output 90v. But this doesn't explain the other missing voltages...Leave a comment:

Can you measure the 90V with both sustains unplugged?Leave a comment:

Re: Is this 55" Hitachi a good buy? (lines on screen)
Ok, I brought my trusty meter home. It seems there is no VS voltage coming from the psu. I think it should be 90v. Three of the heat sinks are actually ingraved "5v" "11v" and "90v" and I assume they are for testing. The 5 and 11 test good, nothing on 90. Am I to assume the psu is malifunctioning or could there be a legitimate reason it's not putting out 90v?Leave a comment:

If you buy from eBay, you usually have a 7-14 day returns policy, but shipping costs both ways aren't included.Leave a comment:

Does anyone know the return policy for these online vendors that sell boards? I hate to be the guy that buys boards for testing but I might end up trying when I get some spare cash.Leave a comment:

Post an ad saying you're looking for TVs like that which have cracked panels. Or sell it and break even. I would normally sell it to someone who is a TV tech and could buy parts directly from Hitachi, or thinks they might have luck at repairing the PSU.Leave a comment:

Yeah, that's the 42" version I think. It's parts are much cheaper. Nothing on craig's list yet... Please, if anyone has or knows of any of these TVs with a cracked screen, please PM me.

I found a surplus of the ND60200-0038 (18 boards on one site, £30 each), but it's not the right one, it's completely different. Had a look around for similar models with cracked screens?Leave a comment:

Its ND60200-0032
I guess I should have checked the board prices before I picked up the TV.Leave a comment:

Re: Is this 55" Hitachi a good buy? (lines on screen)
That might indicate a short on the board somewhere. Sorry I'm not much help... I have no experience with Hitachi plasma panels. What's the part # of the board? Maybe it's cheap somewhere else...Leave a comment:

And on the other white transformer, the best result I can get is 1 yellow LED. This one rings OK on the left side, and not so well on the right side.Leave a comment:

by jeyoung12Hi all
I have lines on the screen...which is an age old problem that can be remedied by watching Youtube videos and getting out the tape.
My issue (after successfully fixing a different sammy tv with a separate tcon board and isolating the side of the panel...):
This tv has an integrated tcon...so it is a bit more confusing when trying to isolate the clocks.
It has a c ribbon and i have taken each end out to see if that will isolate the lines. instead, it makes it much worse ALL over the tv!
So....i don't know what end of the C ribbon to work with... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by ChrissygizmoHello again everyone,
This is my latest mission, to try getting this Sony tv back to normal working order…
I've only just got it today, when you power it up everything is as should be, in fact it works perfectly for a few minutes then the screen starts getting horizontal lines on & eventually the full screen goes back, I will upload photos of the problem & also some photos of the board etc. You might notice that I'm busy trying the tape method, I'm not sure exactly where the clock lines are so I'm just guessing & hoping for the best lol . I've already tried... -
by ggil44Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

by totofGood morning.
I have a problem with my LG Smart 43UF640V TV. It starts, the backlight comes on but nothing is displayed on the screen and there is no sound.
I thought it was a TCon problem and ran various tests. If I disconnect one or the other of the cables from the tcon to the panel then the screen is white on the side where the cable is disconnected and black on the other side. If the two cables are disconnected the screen is completely black.
In the 4 configurations I measure exactly the same voltages on the tcon card (model V15 43UHD TM120 Ver0.4) :
