Re: Insignia NS-LCD32 powers on but blank screen & no sound, need help troubleshootin
I wonder now if the main board is sending any signals to the T-CON, or the new T-CON is not good. You will have to use the Oscilloscope at this point to look at the LVD signals feeding the T-CON to see if there are any activities at all.
Re: Insignia NS-LCD32 powers on but blank screen & no sound, need help troubleshootin
The LVD signals are high frequency in the Mega Hertz range that you AC meter does not have the bandwidth to be able to measure. You can try to locate the LCD panel model number to look for the spec sheet to show us what the pins are on the T-CON board, then you can try using the meter to see if it may or may not show any action on the meter.
Re: Insignia NS-LCD32 powers on but blank screen & no sound, need help troubleshootin
I will try to find out the panel model number tomorrow. I think I have to unscrew a couple of bolts to take off the boards and reveal it.
On a side note, I measured voltage going in from the power supply to the main board and there were two wires that were getting a lower amount of voltage (11.55v) rather than the 12v that it stated on the board, versus others wires that were getting a little more than the recommended voltage i.e. a 24v wire was getting 24.3v, which seems ok.
Re: Insignia NS-LCD32 powers on but blank screen & no sound, need help troubleshootin
No, the 12 will be fed to a bunch of voltage regulators and regulated switching power supplies on the T-CON board, the 12v power supply is also used for Audio amplifiers which can tolerate voltage variation.
Re: Insignia NS-LCD32 powers on but blank screen & no sound, need help troubleshootin
alright so I got me another main board and currently returning the first one i purchased. It turns out the first mainboard that i got had two end digits off even though it was advertised as the board that I needed with the correct pn.
Thats my fault so my lesson is learned: NEVER RELY on others to be accurate. Even if it looks identical and most of the numbers match up. Make sure that that it is the EXACT one that you need!
Once installed I got a picture, however I encountered a new problem with this next main board: the screen is grainy and has a weird color distortion to it as shown in the pictures. Now i can return it or if anyone has a solution as to any possible component failure inside the main board thats causing this, i'd love to hear it.
Re: Insignia NS-LCD32 powers on but blank screen & no sound, need help troubleshootin
so bottom line is after all purchasing the "t-con board" was the best bet. I have the same problem with this type of TV. The power goes on, but nothing shows on the screen. It was given to me that way.
I am thinking on taking it to be fixed, but it not too sure.
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...
KDL-60EX500. Comes on fine, sound is fine, backlights come on. Blank screen. Already tried reset POWER/VOL-. Anyone else have this problem? Possibly bad T-Con RUNTK4244ZZ or panel? Could main or power supply cause this? There were 2 blown 560u 35v on power going to backlights but they were still working fine. Thanks for your help.
I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.
This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).
I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...
Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. I can...
