It does sounds like the power supply cannot handle the load, so at this point it may be good idea to change the filter cap, you still should put snubber cap back in place, the cap is for filtering out diode switching noise which may affect pictures or sound.

Yeah I plan to order a new one as soon as I get a list of any other Caps I need to fix some Lcds I have.

So should I just replace the filter Caps? Or just the ones on the secondary or all of them? Excluding the good Ceramic ones of course, unless these need to be replaced too.

Do you think $200 is too much for a 42" lcd?

Really no need to replace the large cap in the primary side, but I would all the one in the socndary side and the small start up caps (usually around 22~47uf 50v) in the primary side.
