Re: Neon C3298DVB stuck in standby
You would need a scope to debug the crystal. I'm in Uni from late September but you'll have to give me a couple of weeks to get settled. If you have any troublesome TVs left, let me know.Leave a comment:

Re: Neon C3298DVB stuck in standby
Took 20k setting readings on the power in pins & the 2 5vins pins were a reading of 0.28..the others were high..this was done with nothing plugged into the mainboard nothing jumpered & not switched on..thxLeave a comment:

Re: Neon C3298DVB stuck in standby
by the way did you follow the steps in post#46 about resistance testing on the disconnected main board?if you havent...
set your meter to 20k,black probe to chassis screw, red probe to each individual line voltage pin (no need to do the ground pins),coming into the main board from the psu,the readings should be very high resistance anything around 30ohms indicates a short on that rail.
the main board has a short somewhere that is shutting the psu down, confirmed by jumping the pins as you did with nothing connected,if you find the rail thats shorted, you can trace along and check components along the trace thats affected,(leakseeker would be good for this)Leave a comment:

Re: Neon C3298DVB stuck in standby
ok,cant find any info on this chip no datasheet, would have been good to find VCC to at least see if the chip is getting its voltage,if you have a scope ,we could see if the crystal is working,it should show a stable sine wave.very rare these fail though.
there are a couple of voltage regulators on this board, prefixed "bm" you could check those and see if they are working, but if they work through the main cpu they may not activate until the cpu sends the correct signal.
the voltages you had taken are correct and within spec, you can rule out the psu.
hopefullly someone might pipe in and show a link to a datasheet for the chip.but i cant find one.
if no joy i would keep an eye out for a mainboard on ebay or elsewhere you may get luckyLeave a comment:

Re: Neon C3298DVB stuck in standby
on u6 the flash chip you replaced, did you not use flux(no clean)?,those pins look a bit shaky,id have a check for continuity on each pin, find a nearby solder pad that connects to each pin and check they have continuity,do for every pin.pin 7 dosent look like its on its pad properly,or its the picture, not sure.

Re: Neon C3298DVB stuck in standby
Hey up fella..thx again for sticking by me..with the jumper pin in place & everything connected up & switched on i get
5.09v
5.09v
5.09v
5.09v
12.07v
12.07v
on the main power pins from the mainboard
I used non clean flux for the eeprom..i looked over chip with jewellers eye n they look fine..it looks better under scope..gonna do them other readings now..thxLeave a comment:

by lepak06Hello
I have an TV Led 4K Selecline 65s18 with mainboard T.MS3458.U801
The TV is faulty with stuck in Standby RED LED. Can't power the TV.
Before this problem , the TV stuck the picture with artefact , i unplug the AC cable and since the tv is stuck in standby .
All voltage are OK on PSU and main board for regulator. I tried flash firmware 25Q64 with many dumps
But the voltage on power button is 0.6V not 3.3V. When i press power button the voltage up to 0V. I tried to add 5V with Power Supply on 5V_STB and 3.3V on Power... -
by toty79Hello to all friends of the forum and well found, here I am asking for your help and sorry for my translated English.
As per Hisense tv title LTDN50K220WSEU stuck in standby
PSU rsag.820.5687 HLL 4855WF
Main rsag 7.820.5842
I enclose the psu diagram, after the first routine checks I find myself with a regular standby voltage of 3.3v blue light on steady when the power button is pressed nothing happens, psu disassembled and bench checked ... forced ignition by sending a signal 3 , 3v on the SW and PWM2 pins the psu turns on and delivers all the voltages... -
by lego1234567Hi. I have the following problem with my TV. After connecting to mains, the standby led (red) turns on, but TV is not responding to remote control or buttons on TV. After some measurements, I found out that +5 V standby voltage is present, but I dont have ON/OFF signal coming in to turn PSU on. It stays at zero volts. After looking at the schematic of the mainboard, I should get ON/OFF signal coming in at the R1402 resistor, but it stays around +3,5 V. So I removed it and I was able to turn on TV with buttons on TV, but not with remote control.
What could be the problem ? Thanks...2 Photos01-21-2024, 03:39 AM -
by RusengaHi techs, I have a Samsung ua39eh5003r which switches on and then goes to standby. I have to wait for a day or two for the tv to switch on again, all the time it is stuck on standby. I have checked the voltages on the power supply board on both occasions when it is on and off and these are my findings:
Connector CNM803:
TV ON
Pin1,3,4,5(Vamp),7(Vamp)- 12.6V; Pin2(PWM_DIM)- 0.96v; Pin6(BLU_ON/OFF)- 4.41v; Pin8,9,10- grnd; Pin11,12,13- 5.16v; Pin14(Power ON/OFF)- 3.3v
TV OFF
Pin1,3,4,5(Vamp),7(Vamp)- 12.6V; Pin2(PWM_DIM)- 0.06v; Pin6(BLU_ON/OFF)-...09-18-2021, 11:51 AM -
by UkdiggerWhen the Main board is disconnected, the back lights are off but tapping on the chassis makes them light up and all voltages are then good. Connecting the main board up makes the TV work normally until moved. LED INERFACE STRIP BN41-01971A has a short on the first 2 pins on the left of the picture, the cable tests good. All the other pins and all LED strips test good. Is there an easy way to fix the short or do I need a new interface. Any help would welcome.
