Also I replaced the earlier bad dioed and its still doing the same thing with blowing the fuse.. But if I unplug the thin white ribbon cable going from PS to main board it does not blow it..

Does the same diode show as short? When you removed the old diode, out of circuit, did it test shorted?

Looks like a short on the main board then? Picture s of both sides will be required.

Check the cable is not shorted/damaged. Pins bent touching etc - look at sockets for same.

I am starting to think that the PS and this board both have some issues.. About ready to take the easy road and order the boards..

                  Re: Emerson LC401EM2F

I messed with it some last night... I tried all diff combos of boards unplugged..There are 2 flat cables that go from the main jack board to the digital HDMI board.. When I unhook those 2 cables, then it does not blow the fuse... But I still get NO life from the TV... I will try to get clearer pictures after the sun comes up and I have better light..

After jacking with trying to track down the back components on this, I ended up getting a new power board.. All is working now.. Never could determine what was causing the fuse to blow..

                          Re: Emerson LC401EM2F

I have a Emersom LC401EM2F. The antenna connection is broken. I need to replace the board that it is attached to. I am new to this kind of soldering. Is there a special way to remove the ribbons, or can I order the board with the ribbons already attached and splice them
