Wowzer and I thought I sucked at soldering

My nephew just was given a olevia tv by a guy that was moving out of his building.. He told my nephew that it had a blown chip (transformer) and he tried to replace it and screwed it up.. Nephew sent me the pic of the board and it looks like the guy pulled the solder trace points or something.. Nephew wants to know if I can help him fix it... After seeing the picture, I am not sure I can.. I figure we could some how run a jumper over to the trace line.. I dont see a trace line near the solder point.. Anyone willing to tell me what can be done?? He wants to fix this, because someone broke in his apt. and stole his... The picture isnt the best and I can have him take a better one after work if need be.

The spots I am looking at are the ones on the far right and left of the picture..

Remove solder, looks like dry, bad joints (probably used solder without flux)

Inspect the holes and see if there traces are not actually on the other side of the board with via going through the board just for the solder on the other side..

If those were traces, I think you could just use multstrand wire taped down to the pcb where the traces were. Might be an impedance issue but... well, try to fix and see what happens.

That looks like the pad was pulled off on both of those. The ball effect on the solder is usually how those look. If you can tell where they went (looks like maybe ground) then run a jumper wire from the part leg to a ground point or whatever it is and use some flux and solder the leg and wire together. I have done this before and it has worked.

I cant believe there were ever traces- pads perhaps, I'd go with the double sided board theory but really we need a picture of the board both sides and a close up of what is on the other side of this pic.

Ok nephew said its sk-32 is the model #.. Several months ago I had a SK-32H240S and I have a feeling he may very well have the same POS.. I did get mine going by doing with just one transformer replaced and some cracked solder joints fixed.. I am going to make a leap and bet he has the same set... Suggests it is just to help hold the transformer stable and is not electrically connected

Even longer here - just off to bed- suggest you get hold of the set and start a new thread
for it ,save getting it mixed up with the previous ones and let this one die as the heading will not fit the problem unless as OP you can change it?.
