SEF 551.10 - Error starting the reflow oven.

    Hello,

When starting the SEF 551.10 reflow oven, the following problem occurs:

It seems to me that this is related to corrupted software. Does anyone have files that can fix this device? Or maybe someone uses such an oven and is able to make a sector copy of the memory card located in the computer controlling this oven?

PS.: Of course, appropriate emails for help have been sent to the manufacturer and distributor in my country. No response yet, but I don't expect much. It's a fairly old device and from what I know, it's no longer supported.

I will add that I inserted the mentioned SD card into the reader. It turned out that there was one FAT32 partition there - completely empty. So now I'm wondering if:
    1. The SD is empty because something happened, and by default there should be some content there. Is that why the computer cannot download the configuration?
    2. The SD is empty and has always been so, and the damaged data (configuration files or something) are located in some other memory on the computer PCB itself?
    3. Have I mistakenly assumed it's a software problem and I am heading towards a dead end?

After contacting SEF, their technical department rose to the challenge. They found the update file in the archive and sent it by e-mail along with the appropriate instructions. This allowed the oven to start.

Can a microwave oven be used to reflow solder joint?
        by tmhobadcap
I heard somebody suggested a way of repair faulty led light bulb which I have never heard of. The way is to put the led light bulb inside a microwave oven and turn on the microwave oven for a few seconds. He said that faulty led light bulb is usually caused by poor solder joint between the led and the pcb. Putting the bulb inside the microwave oven for a few seconds will heat and reflow the solder joint making it works again.

Is that possible? I do not want to try this unless I have a spare microwave oven.

(I do not mean to suggest somebody to try this. It may be...

SEF 551.10 - How to raise the temperature of the unleaded soldering furnace?
        by bpjl
        Hi,

We continue to struggle with the SEF 551.10 reflow oven. After we managed to start it in october - the topic here -> https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...he-reflow-oven everything promised to be good. But...

While soldering with lead paste somehow goes, but we cannot force the stove to raise the temperature
that he would dissolve the unleaded binder. I even doubted what this bastard shows on screen and passed through it a thermocouple...

        Reflow equipment
        by tony359
        Hello all,

I am experimenting a bit with reflowing larger components - ideally I'd like to reflow a PS4 APU or a GPU for example.

I know it's impossible to reflow such large components with just hot air so I bought a pre-heating plate, T-8280 classic Chinese machine, which seems to be working fine besides it's a little slow, which shouldn't be a big deal.

Now, my hot air station is a Aoyue 852A++ and I feel it's a bit weak when used with larger nozzle. I tried reflowing a laptop chipset using one of those large, rectangular, nozzles and I failed miserably,...

        LG Oven model LREL6325F

Hello everyone my oven is less than 2 years old and all of a sudden recently when i run the oven for 15 minutes or so and i am done with it and shut it off. after about 10 minutes it starts chiming and randomly putting it in different modes like the touch screen is being touched but no one is around it. I have tried to reset it by unplugging it multiple times and no luck. I took it apart to see the main board and everything looks fine. I am wondering if i should replace the main board or if its in the control panel. the touch screen is very responsive and works like it should. its only acting...

Chasis bond to neutral to overcome oven tripping problem
        by schnauzer2021
        Hi,

I have a 6 years old Rowenta table top oven. The oven have both convection and grill function.
Last Christmas I used it to roast a turkey with the convection mode for about 4 hours without any problem. When I switched to grill mode to deep browning the turkey for the final half hour, the power trips after a while.

I have not been using the oven since then. Last week, when I try to use the oven again, both convection and grill mode trip the power supply a few minutes after turning it on.

As I was too busy with my work, I leave it to the repairman...
