Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Just in case anyone finds themselves here needing to fix this tv by repairing or replacing the T-Con board, I wanted to leave the info that the original RUNTK 4107TP ZA Board can be replaced with the much easier to find and much cheaper Sharp RUNTK 4323TP ZZ. I have confirmed that this $40 dollar board is a compatible direct replacement. Connections are identical. I have also found out that the ZZ on the end of the number is important on this series of boards. They make this with other Z something endings on the number. Any other than ZZ may not work.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm trying to repair this same T-Con board. I was wondering if anyone knew if there would be a problem replacing the electrolytic capacitors with MLCC?Leave a comment:

IC200 could be a THine THV3056Leave a comment:

Clean the back side of the T-CON where the white thermal pad is and replace the thermal pad with a new one or a similar one scavenged from other TVs.Leave a comment:

The only thing I could be missing is the IC in this kit:

I'm not able to identify it...
Anyone?Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
From the kit posted, they changed the cap rating to higher voltage. Therefore, I wanted to go ahead and replace them in addition to the fuse.
I looked at the OEM capacitor and they seemed to be Panasonic SVPD (page 45). So I checked their footprint and ordered something similar:
22uF, 25V x9
33uF, 25V x2
I also ordered the voltage regulator.
I'll keep you posted with the results.Last edited by jayPare; 12-21-2018, 09:34 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
So I took the chance that the tcon would repair this tv that I picked up for free. i got the tcon and installed it but now I have an issue with the screen where the left side of the screen does not display properly. I am wondering if it is a bad connection to the cable or do you think the panel is gone? I have played around with the cable connection to the tcon but it doesn't seem to do much.
Any ideas?

Check pin 63 on ic200 for voltage.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
I took off ic201 and the pads are not shorted.
I'm wondering if anyone has any input as there is a ic on the backside that control the power (ic200, part number THINE THV3056). Shop jimmy is selling a repair kit that has this ic, plus ic201 and the fuse.
Could this be the solution?Last edited by jackal68; 06-21-2017, 09:31 AM.Leave a comment:

You will have to run the traces back from ic201 with meter in diode beep mode till you find problemLeave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Does it anyone have any updates on how to repair the no voltage in the ic201? I have 12v on both sides of the fuse as well as voltages on the 2 caps closest to the fuse, BUT no voltage in all the rest of the caps.
Any suggestions as to where I can check?
That is one expensive T-CON:

Do you also get the 12VDC on the positive legs of those two electrolytic caps next to the fuse? Or on other electrolytics caps on that board.
What is the P/N of that IC201?

This is a complete list of components that are included in a repair kit sold by someone on eBay. For people that can source the components, they could probably beat the $30+$10shipping (usd) cost. Just thought I'd help other people that have been having trouble getting this expensive t-con board.

That inductor and the other 3 smaller inductors (with 10 nad 22 on top) are for the switching power supplies.
There is IC under that grey square next to those two caps is probably the SMPS IC. You need to see if you can get the P/N to look up the specsheet for it.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
has anyone figured out how the voltages get from the fuse to the regulator ic201
if I have 12v on both sides of the fuse - but 0volts on all pins of ic201 -I lifted the pins and still no voltages, does anyone have the schematics for this t-con?
after the fuse on the way to ic201 there has to be a diode, ic, or transistor. That is one expensive T-CON:

by Max514Hi all,
Ok so I have this beautiful un55h8000 samsung tv with sound but no video nor backlight. When turning the set on the red light blinks 5 times.
The screen shows no damage and backlight turns on when I disconnect the power supply from the main board. The tcon board only has 2 out of 3 leds on.
I came across this page and followed the different steps: https://techhometravel.com/samsung-u...ight-no-video/
- Unplugging the main board cable at the power supply >>> backlights came on.
- BLU_ON signal from the

by triplefourthis tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even... -
by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
by bohabohawhen i power on the TV is black ,Do I remove the right or the left ribbon I get respectively the right or the left half screen working
Do I disconnect the plug from the power supply, no backlight
Thought the backlight would light up when you remove the plug from the power supply but no
What could be wrong if both halves work separately?... -
by gl4709I am working on a Samsung un55cu7000d which has backlights and audio. There is no picture. This model does NOT have a separate TCON board. Before I order a main board I would like to try and confirm that the issue is not in the display. The ribbon cable from the main board goes directly to the display and I can then disconnect the left from the right. When I disconnect the right side the display lights up on one side but has no video being displayed. Can you all give me some guidance on how to confirm the main board is the issue.
