Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
I have forgot to measure those voltages. Tomorrow.
I have measured yesterday and today again, just to be sure and something it's weird with the PS_ON.
When it's off it measures 3.4V and when it's on it measures only, 0.0042V.
What's up with that?
The stand by voltage is 3.4V on this TV?
3.4VSB is the standby? What is 12VSSB?

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Are you getting anything at IC201, you should have 3.3v on top pin and 2.5v on bottom. I think when I had the blank screen with old board, I wasn't getting those voltages but fuse was good.Leave a comment:

I have 12V(11.96V) before and after both fuses.Leave a comment:

I haven't tested yet anything, because yesterday I thought that I fixed it and then late in the night the screen went black again.
I will measure it today and I will let you know.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Yours is doing the same as mine did, it was the T-Con board that would not display Philips logo or a picture and on screen menu, etc., not the main board.. Are you getting the 12v at the t-con fuse?
There has been a lot of T-con board issues posted online with this model and turns out to be a hard to find board..Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Mine doesn't show anything on the screen, just backlight.
When it worked correctly for a couple of hours, first showed the Philips logo.
So, with mine could be the mainboard?Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
With bad T-Con board backlight would come up first with blank blue screen then yes go off and them back on with black screen no OSD.
With good board it comes up same except you have Philips logo on screen, then goes off, then back on to normal display with picture and OSD.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Blue screen it's a T-con problem?
I don't have anything displayed, just backlight. It seems like the backlight it starts up twice. It turns on (the backlight), then becomes black and then turns (the backlight) on again.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
I found a board from a guy in Portugal which I'm still waiting for it to arrive. I then of course found 1 on ebay the very next day (of course at a much higher price) which is the one that is in the TV now being tested for the last week.
When I first replaced the SMD fuse in the original T-Con it worked for about 3 days before it quit again to blue screen. When I checked it later the fuse was still good so I don't know what is going bad on these boards.
I also have a 47" Philips same chassis 9.1, similar no raster problem, waiting on a new T-Con board to arrive to see if same problem.Leave a comment:

From where did you buy it?
I'm surprised that mine it worked for hours and most likely if I hadn't touched it, it would have worked even longer.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Any new development?
I have just picked up one myself.
It seems that previously it was opened. Somebody did not reinstall properly the panel's ribbons.
After reinstalling them correctly, the TV run for hours without issues.
After a while I have decided to to a firmware upgrade and turned it off and then on again. Since then the video it was gone again.
Firmware upgrade did not show up on the screen and I had a movie playing, so the sound it was still on.Leave a comment:

Fuse still tests good now so something else going on, no voltage on IC201. Think I may have found a replacement T-Con though.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Different type of fuse? Original may have been antisurge or slow blow. New may have been fast blow. There is little harm in using a 6.3A or 8A fuse, as any short to ground will easily blow it.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Looks like it could be it will have to check voltages

I think we checked resistance from chassis ground to blown side of fuse and it was high, what else could cause it to blow after several days??Leave a comment:

by Max514Hi all,
Ok so I have this beautiful un55h8000 samsung tv with sound but no video nor backlight. When turning the set on the red light blinks 5 times.
The screen shows no damage and backlight turns on when I disconnect the power supply from the main board. The tcon board only has 2 out of 3 leds on.
I came across this page and followed the different steps: https://techhometravel.com/samsung-u...ight-no-video/
- Unplugging the main board cable at the power supply >>> backlights came on.
- BLU_ON signal from the

by triplefourthis tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even... -
by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
by bohabohawhen i power on the TV is black ,Do I remove the right or the left ribbon I get respectively the right or the left half screen working
Do I disconnect the plug from the power supply, no backlight
Thought the backlight would light up when you remove the plug from the power supply but no
What could be wrong if both halves work separately?... -
by gl4709I am working on a Samsung un55cu7000d which has backlights and audio. There is no picture. This model does NOT have a separate TCON board. Before I order a main board I would like to try and confirm that the issue is not in the display. The ribbon cable from the main board goes directly to the display and I can then disconnect the left from the right. When I disconnect the right side the display lights up on one side but has no video being displayed. Can you all give me some guidance on how to confirm the main board is the issue.
