    Philips 32PFL9603

    Hi.
    I have a Philips 32PFL9603 with backlight.
When I plug the Tv LED blink three times and nothing occurs.
I looked for the service manual but I can't find it.
The PSU model is DPS-230MP A.
    Capacitors its seem ok visually.

May be capacitors but they are well?

    Thanks

      Hello selldoor.
      Thanks for the link.

I changed a couple of capacitors suspects but the thing remains the same.
The relay switch is activated and then activates the relay protection.

Any idea what might be going?

Does the service manual say what 3 blinks means?
We can usually help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

I guess you then have the same PSU board as I?
          Part number 310432852762 or 310432852761.
Maybe we can help each other out. See my thread.

            Hi.
selldoor according the service manual three blikns means 12V supply.
I tried to messure the voltage and before swiching the protection it apperars but after obviously it isn't.

Have you tried with the back-cover fitted on the TV?
(I read somewhere in that when the speakers are not connected they could trigger protection. On my set the speakers are mounted to the backside of the TV)
It makes it a lot harder troubleshooting..

Yes, I tried with all connected and the trouble continue.
I think the problem is in the PSU, but I can't find it.

That cap is in the Line side of the circuits, I do not believe it comes like that from factory, no way it will pass UL/CSA/TuV/ETL/CE testing.

Can we get closed up pictures of the connectors on the power supply board so we can see the labels on them and figure out what the pins are? Good bottom size of the board in hi res picures are needed too.

t.j. No, no one have open it before.

budm: I attached the back side (I've scanned it), the top side I send it as soon I get a high resolution camera.

                              Thanks again.

What voltage do you get when you measure across the BIG Cap.
Care High Voltage - meter on 600vDC red probe on positive black probe on negative.
If you can get help try to measure when a) set is plugged in b) when power button is pressed

In Pic 5 there are 3 grey resistors which I think may be fusable - can you test them

                                  selldoor:
The voltage on big cap is 400V when I plug it and then entering protection begins to fall until it reaches 0 volts.
If I press the power button nothing happends.

About the 3 grey resistors I mesured it and are ok.
