    logic lcxw37hd1

had this one come in,blown psu standby circuit, psu all fixed,

smd bridge blown, power ic (green mode power switch),3.15a anti surge fuse.

psu kicking out all the right voltages now.

tv tunes in ok,picture all good, when powering off on remote standby, and also tv side power switch, and power back on, you have to retune the dvb as it wont store the channels.

anyone know a service mode for this tv?,need to check if its in some kind of shop mode, before ordering a new dvb board, checked this board ,caps ok,2 voltage regulators on there are inputting and outputting what they should do,nothing else apart from huge smd chips to check on this board.
fixed so far...376 lg lcd tv's,24 onn tv;s,24 panasonic lcd,16 jvc lcd,12 marshall jcm800 amps, refurb of various disco equipment lighting, old style disco decks ,and a flymo!

Try doing a factory reinstall. (Usually available in the normal menus.)

Based on what chassis? Vestel? If so, 4725 MENU on remote gets into service menu.

dont think this is a vestal ,main board number is as follows:

      450100005501
      450000006301
      2006/02/17

      dvb board is as follows:

      4501-0001-5803

psu board number is as follows:

      4501 0001 0400
      4500 0002 7800
      amoi ver 1.0

quite a nice psu in fact.

tried your code tom, didnt work ,tried 1st installation menu also, that didnt work, still dosent seem to want to store the channels it finds, fine while tv is on,switch off, no channels.

            Hi

I have a logik LCXW37HD1 doing the same thing - not saving dtv channels, fine whilst on.

I was wondering did you ever find a solution?

            Thanks in advance.

Any updates on the disappearing freeview ? I just did the standby psu rebuild only to find that the freeview tuner only puts in an appearance about once in every 10 startups. I've not recapped the main part of the psu yet. Ripples upsetting the digital tuner maybe ?

storage is probably to an 8pin eeprom.
anything in there starting with 25L ?

as for freeview, a lot of people are losing freeview.
the scum-government has sold an 800Mhz license to the fone company's for 4g service.
some tv's can pick it up and the AGC in the tuner causes it to lose the weaker DVB signals.

Go to SKY MEDIA web site for firmware update all there makes and models fail in this way, some have updates and some dont, they will repair it for you for £145, or go to Ohm supplies see if Andy has an eeprom for your set, go by main board and panel numbers, dont worry to much about make and model Flocko

                          Re: logic lcxw37hd1

Mine isn't a channel storage problem. After restarting the set maybe a dozen times the freeview section springs to life and all the previously stored channels are still there and all works perfectly. Next restart it's back to "No signal remind" and auto off in 5 minutes. It's almost as if the digital tuner is failing POST and the main board thinks there is no digital tuner installed.

Does anyone know how to get into the installer / service menu on this chassis ? Thanks.

                              Thanks for the reply.

I just powered up the set and freeview tuner is working fine. All channels still there since I last retuned it. I did notice however that the picture is doing a little hiccup just every once in a while similar to the glitching you get associated with weak signal. (My signal here is off the scale so it's not that)

Next time I power up it will most likely say no input. Not no signal. It's like the set is sitting on an av input with nothing connected. Like the digital tuner is not outputting anything. It's a weird one.

Photos attached. First one is the set working. The rest are of the main board. It's mostly covered up by the tuner board so I took it out to give you a better view.

Hope you can help. Fingers crossed.

I know very little about tvs - are you in Belfast?
If the signal is VERY strong perhaps it needs what I think they call an attenuator
on the aerial wire I assume you have checked the aerial and cable - wires soldered not just pushfit?.

                                  Yes I'm in Belfast.

No it's not a signal issue. If I could just get into the service menu and reset everything I reckon that would sort it out. The set had a pretty major power supply blow-up which could well have corrupted some of the info in memory. I'll keep searching. Thanks for your help. And please give me a shout if you find that elusive service menu code.

OK it turns out that this is actually an AMOI LC37T1E in disguise. To enter service menu you hold down the menu button on the remote and switch the set on. Problem is, for me anyway, that factory reset initialises the main board in the set but not the freeview board which is separate. So I am no further on. I give up. Freeview board is 12 quid on ebay.
