RCA L32WD22 Power Supply Has No Inverter +24 Volts

At first I thought it was a bad inverter, but the fuses were good
on the Darfon board, and +24Volts was missing.

Here's that portion of the power supply:

I hope you can read it. +5 and +12 Volts from the other parts of the SMPS were fine.

There was no AC voltage on pins 9 and 16 of the T902 transformer,
so I looked back from there, and found R933 (0.1 Ohm) was
open, and switching MOSFET Q902 was totally shorted out.

Most other components checked out ok, including all the caps,
and it looks like the only way to really test the TEA1532CT
is within the control loop, in circuit.

Here's the full service manual if anyone is interested:

Hopefull these two components were it, but if anyone has
any other ideas, feedback is welcome.

    Thanks in advance.....

If it was me I would replace TEA1532CT, I ran into a problem very simular which replacing the Mosfet didn't fix it. So I've learn from that, to replace the Drive Ic's. Good luck

      Thanks Jimmy, you were right.

The other components needed replacing, but so did the
TEA1532CT. Got it on Ebay for like $5 total.

TV WORKS GREAT NOW!!!! FUCK YEAH!!!

      NOW TO MAKE SOME $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!

      HAHAHA!!!

        Hello,
I seem to be running into the same trouble with this system given to me from a family member. I ordered a set of caps to replace in the power supply but even testing it still has the voltages to the main board already. The amber light just stays on and the tv does not turn on. I have also downloaded this picture of your situation and I would like to test it also. Newbie myself with a multimeter, how would I test the items you have identified here? I think it is something small myself and would be grateful to receive help and have a wonderful outcome such as you had. Thank you kindly!

        DJ

          If you read this
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10419 start at post19 it tells how to
test resistors and mosfets and many other components.
Most tests are with power OFF.
As stated the TEA1532CT is not easily tested. It may be quite difficult to remove and replace if you have not had much soldering experience
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: RCA L32WD22 Power Supply Has No Inverter +24 Volts

I hope someone can help me with my problem. i have one of these rca tv's and am having trouble. I replaced all caps on the power supply including the 2 100uf 450v ones. 4 of the caps were domed and one of the 450v ones looked like there was crust coming out of one of the legs. the tv will not turn on. when i first plug it in and try to power it, sometimes the screen flashes a message across the middle of the screen in a box, but it happens so fast i cant read it. Other times the screen will light up for a brief moment and i can see what looks like a headphones icon in the top right corner of the screen.

The tv will just sit there and not do anything. then when i power it off, the orange led flashes 4 times. sometimes it flashed 4 and a half times if that makes sence. its not like a full flash.

i tried checking the voltages on the pins of the power supply and am getting all the voltages i should on the plug going to the main board. 5v, 12v and 15v are all good.

I am also not getting the 24 volts on the plug going to the inverter. i am assuming it is supposed to be 24v dc right? I am not sure what to check and how to check that section of the board. can someone please help?

Can someone please show pictures of what they replaced on the 24v side to get their tv working?

            Any help is greatly appreciated.

12 volt switching power supply modification to 14.5 volts before blocking diode add
              by sam_sam_sam
I saw this switching power supply on eBay and wanted to see if could be modified to run 14.5 volts before the blocking diode was add and this switching power supply seems to have no issues doing this

I did recap the switching power supply except the the main filtering capacitors and I managed to break the selector switch for the voltage setting but just jumped it

One note I used 25 volt capacitors on the output side of this power supply because they used 16 volt capacitors and because I am running the voltage up a little bit higher 12 volts to 14.5 volts there would...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

I have this 10 amp 0 to 30 volt switching power supply that decided to have a 630 milliamperes draw on it at 0 volts

I open it up to find non brands name capacitors in it

I am not sure how this switching power supply is set up

Could someone please explain how this power supply works

Here is the capacitor ESR results

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
              by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Looking for help with a Viewsonic VP230mb where the backlight comes on only momentarily
              by lostone
Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.

First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...
