Hey I am trying to fix my tv but Im stuck at this point. The tv turns on, gets stuck on the logo screen for about 90 seconds turns off and continues to loop. Sometimes the vizio light blinks other times it doesn't. I've read a few things on the forum w this problem but it seems it can be a number of things and i don't know a great deal about this tv.

Re: vizio stuck on logo model m470nv
It could be a T-con issue; freezing on the first frame. Someone had a similar issue with a Westinghouse here.
Try unplugging the T-con cable with the set running, then press the INPUT or MENU button, and plug it in again; if the unit shows a single new frame it could be the T-con.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: vizio stuck on logo model m470nv
I thought it was the main board but I didn't want to go buy a new one and not be somewhat sure. Ill let you know how the T-con things goes. Thanks for the replies.
T-Con note:
If I did that right(very well could of messed up) the logo disappeared but the unit stayed on a black screen. No changes w pressing the menu or input button.Last edited by Djones; 07-15-2012, 06:18 PM.Comment

Re: vizio stuck on logo model m470nv
Is there anything else I can do to trouble shoot the unit, to make sure it is the main board that needs replacing? I keep reading and I'm seeing that a lot of it is the main board but I'm also seeing that there can be other problems as well in other areas. I don't really have a clue as to what I'm doing so if there is a thread that I'm just not finding on how to start testing it or what tools I need to do so can someone please direct me to the page. ThanksComment

Re: vizio stuck on logo model m470nv
I believe these newer LED backlight type unit only have a Mainboard and a backlight driver inverter board in them... the T-con, audio, video, is all built into one board now... I was reading about eeprom issues too...
I got a JVC LED LCD that works fine for a couple hours then screen starts to glitch and bug out... gonna get a can of air and go freeze happy and see what i can narrow down...Comment

Re: vizio stuck on logo model m470nv
This one still has a T-con, but yes, for many newer TVs, the T-con is gone, it is on the LCD panel driver board. Fault there, panel is often toast. Yay, progress. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: vizio stuck on logo model m470nv
We've seen that happen due to bad EEPROM/firmware IC as well as because of a shorted HDMI multiplexor.
Both are available online for DIY repair , but both carry the risk of NOT being the source for the shutdown in your particular case. Although less likely, the main processor could also be bad, for example, as it is fairly complex and it may be able to start and execute the firmware all right, but a section of it handling the HDMI or LED driver control could fail to initialie/communicate with the core at a later initialization stage. (hardly the T-CON driver if you already have the vizio logo on the screen, but it illustrates the point)
Hope this helps.Last edited by SMDFlea; 04-09-2023, 04:41 AM.Comment

by x_orange90_xI just got this tv today and it's getting stuck on the wallpaper. When I first power it on it goes to the V logo, then a black screen for about 15 seconds, then a Chromecast error for just a few seconds, and then finally to a wallpaper. It stays frozen on this wallpaper and does not respond to anything on the remote besides power on/off. Likewise the buttons on the tv do nothing either (besides power). I did the "reset" by holding the volume down and input buttons together for 10 seconds. It showed a message at the top of the screen saying it was Wiping Data and would restart soon. After...

by paulxxxxThe TV stuck at logo and cannot be turned off unless the cord is unplugged.
I was given two main boards and exactly the the same thing happens to both of them.
I have checked all voltages on the connector on the power board that goes into the main board and they all look OK.
There are no signs of damage on any of the 3 boards.
Would someone help me with a pointer to the manual? It's supposedly to be the same as E601i-A3.
Thanks! -
by Bob1394I have used the search, and am stumped.
My Vizio M65-C1, Vizio logo appears for about 10 seconds then goes off.Power LED blinks 15 times then the TV powers down.
I have read through many threads on the M65-C1 including the following threads. I feel like I must be looking right past the solution to my problem:
