T is for Time Delayed, Slo-blo will be equivalent. That is the correct drawing of using the lamp to automatically limit the current in case of short circuits. 100W incandescent will be good start. That plug does goes into your wall outlet, I use GFI outlet and Isolation transformer as a protection against accidental shock if you happen to touch the live primary circuits.

what do you guys think, I guess I need to take the FET's back off the board and re-test them. If they were to be bad again what can be causing them to go bad?

Hey guys

It seems like the issue with this TV is isolated to the power supply board. How much would a new power board cost? I still can't seem to figure out which components are shortening out.

Do you think that a new power board would fix the issue?

Thanks I will check out that website, in your past experiences with these sort of issues, does this make sense for me to go the route of getting a new power board for this TV?

I'm just on the fence on what I should.

Do you think this is the main issue of the TV?

what do you guys think?? Since the TV is blowing fuses and I cant seem to locate what is shortening out, should buying a new power supply board fix this problem??

Hi, I realize this is a very old post but I'm having the exact same trouble instantly blowing fuses each time I plug imy Vizio tv in. This came after replacing several leaky capacitors after having weird tv screen issues. For me, I test my bridge rectifier and get an open circuit on the 1-2 pins (if 1 is negative) and 2 is the near AC. All others test ok and I get the same readings with the BR outside of the board. Is this BR trash and if so, will the FETs necessarily be blown too? They don't show any open circuits when I test them.

check you have fitted all the caps the right way on the board i messed up 1 once kept blowing a fuse.

Thanks for the tip Vince. I checked it out and I believe they're all in the correct position. I'm worried my bad solder job when I put them back in may have caused the short to begin with but I fixed that. I'm hoping replacing the bridge rectifier will fix everything.

they may be in the correct positions but are they fitted the right way as in the minus side marking of the capacitor is on the minus side on the psu.
whats the rectifer part number maybe find a data sheet for the pin layouts

Yeah, sorry I understood what you meant with positive and negative and I matched the replacement up to what the old one was and then matched it with the '+' on the board to positive on the capacitor. The rectifier is part number D15XB60. I ordered a couple from Electric Goldmine yesterday. I did find a data sheet pic of it but I'm not sure with these rectifiers, would it be normally be an open circuit one way on the #3-#4(-) pins?
