    Vizio VX32L Main Board

I have a Vizio VX32L that I've determined to have a bad main board. Numbers on the board are:
    0171-2272-2174
    3632-0162-0150(4B)

My question is there are endless amounts of boards for sale with different numbers but they all are for this model and look the same. Is there a way to determine compatibility or does someone have some experience with these? Thanks!

    Re: Vizio VX32L Main Board

to insure of obtaining correct part using the part number form the bar code area of the main board is correct also since there many varations of that model set, the 1st 7 letters in the serial number will also confirm proper version of main board also.Is there any more numbers or letters in the model Example: VX32LHDTV10A ?

only by the number 3632-0162-0150 number, the other number he listed does not show in the sub cross I would email seller and ask for confirmation of the number off his board like the photo of the number from your bar code

Vizios have a problem with a lot of the voltage regulators on the main board. If you haven't tested them, it could be a 52 cent fix versus $113 for a main board.

                        Re: Vizio VX32L Main Board

I am a old timer trying to keep my 32 TV from the landfill. Spent the last couple of days reading many post and would like some help . Measured as suggested in many post here are my readings.

                        U7
                        3.28
                        1.24
                        0

                        U9
                        3.28
                        1.49
                        .250

                        U33
                        5.08
                        3.29
                        2.04

                        U8
                        5.12
                        3.30
                        2.04

Not sure I have measured all the right transformers or not , but my power board is not getting 12 volts or 24 volts, It does have the 5 volts. So I assumed I must have a mother board issue , based on all the readings I hope I am on the right track , Any advice ??

The regulators are OK, but I see 6 (1117 series) of them in your picture but you only report 4 of them.
To get the switched 12V/24V the power supply board as to receive the PS-ON (Power supply ON) signal from the main board.
You can try disconnecting the cables between the power supply and the Inverter board to see if the 24V will be present, also check the PS-ON signal (>2VDC = ON) to see if it is present.
Good clear pictures of the whole backside of the TV will also help.

when you say unplug the connectors do you mean to the mother board? or to the other two components on the back of the unit that come off the power supply , I tried both and still no 12 or 24 volts,, update finally kept hitting and playing with on off switch got the unit to turn on now I have the 12 &24 volts also the turn on signal is there and the screen actually turned on. its almost like I had to play with on/off switch till it finally caught and turned on

OK, those two regulators are good.
There are two power connectors (24V) on the power supply board, one goes the Inverter board on the left side and another one goes to the inverter board on the right side of the TV, those are the ones I want you to disconnect and see if you will get the 24V back on the power supply board.

OK, then have one of the two inverter boards connected one at a time to find out which one is loading down and causes the 24V power supply to shutdown, it is still possible that you may have weak 24V power supply due to bad filter caps in the 24V output section.

tried them one at a time and after both of them back hooked up 24 on pins. , with all hooked up voltages seem good

its hard to get to turn on . have to play with on off switch a lot to get to stay on, if that helps

For the switched 12V/24V to be present, it needs the PS-ON command, so you need to see if the PS-ON (when TV power switch is activated) is present or not when you are having a hard time turning on the TV.
Since now you are getting the 24V back with both inverter boards connected back in place then you should see the backlights come on if the BL-ON (Backlights ON) signal is present, you can look for the command signals on the 24V connector, the pins on the board should be labeled with 'A', and 'B'; check and see what DCV you have on those 3 pins.
