    Jvc lt-24dk3bj

Play with PC Monitors more than Television, however I have recently had a number of requests for help. This Has the Blue Light coming on and thats it, no image, sound etc.Looking inside, there is 12v going to the Inverter but no BL-On voltage.Checking around I have 5V from a 78DO5, 2,3volts from one of the LDOs and no input and therefore no output from a 1117-18 LDO.Before we look to possibly change the latter, I have no idea what the component sitting in the middle of the Board is marked 110D,any help would be appreciated.

I've seen a lot of these on eBay with the same fault, developing after 6-9 months. I think it's the same as the Bush LT24M3 I've got, which has a failed LDO on the main board. Can you post an overhead shot of the unit?

Okay, it's not the same as mine - sorry - wish it was that easy! But anyway, which LDO is outputting 2.3V? That's a strange voltage. What is the voltage between the output and adjust pins for that regulator?

BTW, any clues as to who is the OEM on that one? The Bush I have is a Haier rebadge - even the model number is the same - Haier LT24M3...

            Re: Jvc lt-24dk3bj

Is it really a genuine JVC? Or just a rebadged model? It would surprise me if JVC actually make this model.

I do not know what "110D" is.

Can you check the regulator which is outputting 2.3V as I instructed above? I suspect that is faulty.

Pictures are a bit grainy for troubleshooting - Mystery component - no idea but best guess a diode with the dot being the cathode end? Does it test as a diode?
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Oh I see the 110D. It is a resettable fuse. It should measure a short if okay.

They are known as poly fuses.

When excessive current flows through them they increase rapidly in resistance.

When they cool down their resistance falls again and the let current through.

Under repeated cycling they can permanently fail open, they are designed to only open a few hundred times, so they can fail, for example, if the power supply draws a lot of current on start up.
