Re: polaroid tla-04011c
Please post the good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then closed up pictures of each boards and connectors, then later on when you take the suspected board out, then we will need the top side and back side of the board. But lets see what the whole TV and the connectors, caps look like first. I think the problem will more likely to be in the power supply.Never stop learning

Re: polaroid tla-04011c
Are there any voltage labeling on those white connectors on the power supply board, right now your standby power supply is working.
Do you also still have the old control board, did you try that to see if you have the same symptom?Never stop learning

Re: polaroid tla-04011c
BUMP !!! where/who do you think you are??
You will be lucky to get any help at all doing that.
You have to be patient with people here: we nearly all have jobs, college and families in the real world and we just help out when we can. I'd guess most of us are not qualified technicians, and just pass on what we have learnt.
In any case your pictures are very poor - we will not waste our time trying to look at them. - That is why over 80 people have looked at the post and given up!
As regard the caps make a list of all the Electrolytic ones - make voltage - uf we dont know what is on the board or if they are any good - are any leaking or bulging.
Are they on the list of Bad/ not very good caps.
Have you looked for a schematic / service manual for the set/power board. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: polaroid tla-04011c
1) The pictures qualities are very poor, I have a hard time tracing out the bottom side of the board.
2) Please see the attached PDF, and tell us the voltage reading on the large cap is so we can tell if the PS_ON and PFC is working or not.Never stop learning

Re: polaroid tla-04011c
Wells, thanks for the pictures, but they are still way out of focus, I cannot read the designators (white printing to show Rxxx, Cxxx).
Since you are getting about 400Vdc on that large cap, more likely the PS_ON is working and it is turning on the PFC Voltage boosting circuits, but not the 24Vdc switching power supply section.
Please see the PDF, I need REALLY GOOD CLEAR pictures and we need to find the P/N as printed on the two IC's as shown.Attached FilesNever stop learning

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.
We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

by TomyleeHi everyone, I have a Nintendo 2DS XL that shows the orange charging light when plugged in, but nothing happens when I press the power button — no blue light, no screen, no sound.
Here's what I've observed:
All ribbon cables are properly connected
Battery is present and in good condition
No reaction even with screens disconnected
There's a visible burn mark / overheating sign on the metal shield, right above the CPU
I’m suspecting an issue with the CPU, PMIC, NAND, or a power...3 Photos -

Have tried published resets with no help. (unplug for 10, push on-off for 30, push menu and vol +, etc.)
After being plugged in, red light comes on. Push power button and blue light comes on for ~five seconds then goes out. Power button does not turn the unit on a second time - have to unplug/re-plug before power button will try to start with blue light.
No sound, no picture (used flashlight test).
No bulging cap, no burn spots, no burn smells, nothing visual (cold joints/breaks/bugs).

by TurboTundraHi, I am waiting for my uart tool so I can grab an error code and narrow down where my issue is, but I decided to measure capacitors and fuses to insure everything was okay.
The PS5 turns on with a blue light and a beep for 1-2 seconds then turns off. I noticed a grey capacitor measures no voltage on standby or input power. Does this indicate a problem with the capacitor or something down on the line? I’m getting 3.3v on input with the red cap next to the grey one, and 5.2v on input with the red cap further away from the grey cap.
Thank you for any input... -

by cajoegHello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.
The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV... - Loading...
