      test returned 1022m ohms.

is it possible that another board is dead? like the relay wont click if the other boards are not plugged in?

So, I've been away for a while from this thread...

        Bring me up to now:

Have you got any output voltages, at all, on the power supply?
Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

okay guys sorry re tested everything, found some unusal results to say the least.

However with the power off doing a continuity test and touching a common ground pins 1-8 all show as a ground????

We are still getting 5V SB. Pin 10 is power on/off.

If you hit the power off/on button, see if pin 10 drops to 0.0V. It should change between 0.0V and 2.94V if the main/logic board is working properly.

This is located on the Powersuply IC101 located behind small transformer parallell with the large transformer. inbetween lrage heatsincs.

Re: 42inch Touch Screen wont power on

ON the main board i followed the power button switch and it has 4.49 volts and drops to 0v when pressed. However on the opposite side where pin10 (on the power supply) connected to the main board we are seeing no 0v drop.

Does this determine there is a fault with the main board? is there a way i can short pin 10 to see if the power supply fires up to indeed confirm this theory?

Would you like pictures of the main board?

Do you have a 2.2k - 4.7k resistor; or can you acquire one (e.g. from RadioShack)?

Use the standby rail to pull the PSON line to about 5V. The 2.2k-4.7k prevents any damage from potentially excessive voltages (PSON might only want 2-3V), although that would be a very rare possibility I would suggest it anyway.

                            Get a 1/4W (quarter-watt) 5% resistor of any value from 2.2k (2200) to 4.7k (4700) ohms.

Sorry guys i have been away on business and just got back got the resistor and going to try it tonight.

If the power supply operates correctly which i think it will, how can i go about identifying what this main board is so i can seek a replacement ?

As i have tryed to google to numbers on it and returned no results.

                              Thanks Guys

                                Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. šŸ˜…

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                Hi All,

We've got a HP Envy 12th gen that has been dropped and the LCD panel itself has cracked. The glass is fine just the panel itself is cracked. We ordered a replacement screen assembly using the part number off the HP part surfer website.
Upon installation the touch screen now does not work either in UEFI or win 11. Device manager under the "intel Precise touch and Stylus) menu notes "This device cannot start (code 10) Status_Device_Power_Failure".

I've tried all the usual troubleshooting steps like reinstalling the driver, uninstalling...

original screen was BOE NV156FHM-T07 with On-Cell Touch screen I²C

replaced with what was in my stock, which is IVO R156NWF7 R2 which is also with On-Cell Touch screen I²C

now touch screen works perfectly in UEFI BIOS menu & boot menu. but not working in OS, tried windows & linux too

with original broken screen i can see in device manager touch screen in human interfaces

but with the new screen it's not showing in device manager

is it lenovo blocking it? is it driver missing?

                                I²C is a headache

                                Hello,

I have an HP 15-eh1070wm laptop that came to me for the same reasons I am starting this thread. The charging LED appears when the laptop power adapter is connected and the power LED appears when pressing the power button, but nothing appears on screen.
