    LOG26LW782 Logik LCD Display Fault

    Hi,

I have recently saved a Logik LCD TV from a trip the skip and I'm looking for some advice on how to rectify its fault.

When you switch it on it displays a grey screen for up to 20mins, depending on when it was last switched off, during which you get sound and can switch channels and after which it works perfectly. The grey screen fault can be as little as 3mins or no grey screen if its just been switched of then back on.

I was thinking it was a capacitor charge / discharge issue due to the variable grey screen time and rather too eagerly re-caped the PSU to no avail but after finding this great forum and reading several posts I am leaning towards a faulty T-Con board.

I'm also thinking it could even be a dry joint somewhere on the T-Con board, I'm not lucky enough for it to be a loose connector.

I cant find a service manual for the TV so if anyone can suggest places to look it would be appreciated. I can post pics if you think they will help and I'm an Electrical Engineer (but not a TV Eng) so feel free to suggest a place or two to poke around with a multimeter.

I've found a place selling the correct T-Con board for Β£35 but I'd rather fix it if at all possible.

PCB images attached and for what its worth a picture of a grey screen

I re-soldered a few dry looking joints on the main board and re assembled the TV and now I have a new and interesting fault to add. The TV still displays a grey screen and eventually powers up but now I have no sound and when you switch the TV into standby the standby LED constantly blinks on and off.

I'll pull it apart again to see if I've left a connector off... I guess the fault could be on the main board as the T-con is connected there.

    Any thoughts?

Forget that last post, some idiot left off two connectors. Fault is as described in the original post.

The main board, part number 17MB22-2, appears to be common to a lot of TV's manufactured by several different companies I found a Vestel manual here not had a chance to take a really good look at it but it looks promising.

The T-con, part number V260B1-C01, also looks widely used with listings for new boards from China on e-bay.

Ah! Vestel strikes again. More crap TVs from Turkey. (No offence intended to Turkish people, but Vestel suck.)

Check the cable going from the main board to the T-con. I had a TV where this was loose. The TV would power on but all the colours were messed up. When it warmed up, the colours would return to how they should be.

I've had it apart and put it back together being careful to make sure the T-Con was connected to the main board properly but no luck.

I will try carefuly wiggling the connector on the main board a bit with the set on but I cant get to the T-Con end as its under the main board with a steel frame in between.

I'm still guessing its a T-con problem as I have sound, anyone disagree or have any other thoughts?

Usually when you have sound, the T-con is at fault.

It could also be the connector, but it would seem you have ruled that out.

The frame is EMI shielding. The shield can be removed for testing but should be replaced when assembled.

Sony 8K XBR-75Z8H White Screen Vertical Bars Tcon Code. Help NeededπŸ™
                by Daren87
                Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Bush DLED32287HDCNTDFVP - Is this a screen fault or a Tcon Issue
                by jdawg99
                Hi,

Trying to fix a bush TV. The Tcon is integrated onto the main board by the looks of it but before I buy a replacement does this look like a screen fault? The lines at the bottom are concerning me. I have check for shorts on the caps etc and can't see anything obvious. Nothing is overly hot and I've tried heating different boards and pressing down on the flex but no change in picture.

Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance....

Lg TCon test pins for screen test
                by alltvrepairs
                Hi,
i have a 65 Panasonic TX-65HX710E using vestel 17MB170 main and Lg tcon.

Few drops of water fell probably near COF and have no display. Tried removing tabs but no.part of display present as if tcon fuse open. However 12v is present and tcon can be felt warm enough that supplies are present. Backlight and sound ok.

Anyone knows if this TCon 6870c-0805A has any special test pins for rgb test?

                Appreciate your help....

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
                by smic717394
                Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...
