Re: Vizio VA26LHDTV10T Sound but no picture

I already check the fuse at inverter board had 2 fuses
    one black block F1 2amp close Q20 get 0.3 Ohm & 24v both side
    one white block F2 7amp close Q19 get 0.2 Ohm & 24v both side
maybe some chip at mainboard It shorts out internally and gives a lower resistance on one or?
    Thanks

Re: Vizio VA26LHDTV10T Sound but no picture

        Finally I T/S all over
use flash light find screen is working (change color litter dark when is TV turn on & logo from orange to white)
hook up DVD player & changer input to AV I had sound & screen working (when you use falsh light)
I hook up Dell 2405FP inverter to CCFLs is get normal picture from DVD
I very sure my inverter bad (check F1 & F2 is 0.03 Ohm & had 24VDC on both side) maybe U5 or U3?
but I didn't had more time, buy use parts at Shopjmmy for $29.99 + shipping

Re: Vizio VA26LHDTV10T Sound but no picture

Have you checked or changed the electrolytic capacitors on this board yet?
Even if they look good by sight or simply are a trusting brand, I'd still take them off of the board and check them on a cap meter, if you have one.

If you have a picture on your screen, it's most likely the inverter section that is failing you. Whenever I say inverter section that does not rule out the power supply that sends voltages to the inverter. The other boards are working because you have a signal that is being displayed on the screen. The digital board is getting it's power from the power supply. Either the inverter somehow is not getting what it needs from the power supply board (which is more than one check of 24Vdc) or it is at fault and is not doing what it needs to do with the voltages that it is receiving.

The connector that connects the power board to the inverter board should have writing on the board that shows the designation of each pin (voltages etc..) If you could post a picture of that connector then we can probably take this one step further.

If you were to swap anything out just to see if it works, I'd start with the inverter board itself - depending on cost.

I'm wondering what makes you suspicious of U3 or U5 on this board? What is its part numbers?

            Thanks
I had Fluke meter model #112 is can check from (ac dc)volt + Ohm + diode + capacitor + (ac dc)amp need clamp when test amp
Unsolder one leg of capacitor & test find about 316 Ohm at 270 Ohm lable on capacitor all is good
            I check the connect from power supply get 24 V + at Reserved (On/Off) 3.3 V + Dim 3.17 (at power on)
power off 24V pin had 12V only and Reserved + Dim had 0 V
            U5 Parts No# stamp on top IC (02964GN - T15896.2T - 0751C) U3 Parts No# stamp on top IC (82FKT4K - LM339A)
            maybe short internally?
I will had new one come in afternoon today

I have this issue and confirmed the Chip fuse at F1 is bad. I soldered the 2 wires of an external ATC fuse holder on it and put a 1 amp fuse in it. Turned the TV on and low and be hold I have picture again. Ii can replace the whole inverter board or just replace this fuse, which is the cheapest thing, but I'm having an issue figuring out the specs of a replacement. it's 24v, but the rest of it I have no idea other than it's a Chip Fuse.

James, I keep repeating this. I know you are a newbie, so brace yourself. If we are going to help you, you have to give us some information. That includes information on the hardware you are working on, and possibly pictures of the exact component. In this case, you might get defensive because you have the same TV; we sometimes get someone with a bad Samsung monitor hijacking a thread about Dell monitors, or someone with a bad monitor posting in the TV section.

NOW, if you are dealing with the same TV, an earlier post identifies the value of the two fuses. As far as the part number, none of the gentlemen have posted pictures clear enough to identify the part - heck, I couldn't even FIND one of the fuses in the pictures. You can rectify that problem by posting pictures. Any numbers on the fuse would be a big help, also. And the final thing that would be a tremendous help is the dimensions of the fuse.

Here is a picture with the component circled in yellow the part number of the power supply/inverter board is ADTV81324SA1

need some help Identifying the resistor color bands on R933 of the power supply board on this model ADTV81324SA1 it is burnt beyond recognition.

Also if anyone has a service manual for this model it would be greatly appreceated

i am looking to try and repair this powersupply i know just replacing this part wont be the fix but it is were i am starting all the caps look ok but i am asumming anything could be the culprit allso the unit would not even light the on button no power watsoever

I repair lcd monitors all the time replacing the caps and differant things so just so you know my exspereance level now trying a lcd tv for a change

                            1) A rare chance some member may have one of these boards and can tell you the value, or better yet a schematic.

                            2) You can try asking someone selling one of these supplies on eBay what the value is. Many sellers won't mind aswering a simple question if you're nice about it.

                            3) This resistor might be part of the PWM circuit. See if it's connected to a pin on the PWM chip. Look up the datasheet for the PWM chip and the manufacturer may have a application circuit or a formula for calculating the resistor value.

Well jetadm123 from what i can tell you are correct the resistor is connected to a chip

I think your correct in assuming it is a PWM chip the part number is P1337 with the letters PANR under them.

I believe the NCP1337 with the CASE 751U surface mount is a cross with it as far as the manufacturer Having a application circuit or a formula for calculating the resistor value i dont know

you are beyond my Knowledge talking about what a chip like this does or why the restor would of failed but i am trying to understand

I think from the layout of the NCP1337 chip the resitor is on leg #8 of the chip

Here is a link to the data sheet i was looking at http://www.datasheetpro.com/1006934_...datasheet.html

i have also as you have recomended sent 2 messages to 2 sellers on ebay so we will see if they can or will help

Well what did you check so far, voltages, fuses, etc? Do you have good working digital meter, tools, any experience in soldering? Any pictures of your boards since same model can have difference version of the boards.

                                    i actually hope this thread is somewhat alive;
same problem here as described in this forum. same inverterboard, and fuse f1 shows no continuity (tv/board not powered on). this fuse is a small smd fuse (black smd) with '20' on it. it is a 1 amp 76volt fuse.

what kind of smd fuse is this? quick blow or...? i am tempted to solder a inline fuseholder with 1 amp (glass) fuse if i cannot find a replacement smd one

I myself use Littllefuse PICOII fuse, just have to bend the legs. one leg of the fuse will be soldered to the 24V input pins, another end is solder to output side of the old fuse.
