Re: Panasonic TH-55AS670A no picture no sound

i was just wondering, should there be a clicking sound (for a relay ?) when you turn on the TV, because this one seems to be doing no clicking.

Just realised, because I had a look at a similar model of Panasonic the other day and there was a clicking sound once turned on.

That would indicate a problem with the power supply board, but in my case I measured most of the test points with valid voltages.
If I understand it correct, it could be something with the LED driver that is also on that same board?

Hi, the standby software and diagnostics can be tricked by a not working power rail, check ic5300 pin 2,3,7 on A board

ok that's interesting, how would I do this, using a jumper wire ?

i've just measured the pins of IC5300, see image attached.

doesn't matter if TV is in standby or turned on, there is only 16V on one pin, the others are all 0V.
does that indicate a fauly IC ?

the other IC8705 has Voltages (from 0.8V to 120V) on almost every pin except one.

unfortunately it lacks of enable signal so it is not faulty that chip but probably there are problems in software, the other ic cannot have 120v, are you kidding? Check the meter battery.

ok, there is no easy fix for a hobbyiest like me i guess.
i have to measure again but i think the multimeter showed something above 100V on two pins, 16V and 5V and 1V and 0.8V on the others

at this stage the best i can do IMO is to look for a spare mainboard

for the research i made seems 13 blinks are a communication problem (emergency sos) between ic5000 and ic8000 (cpu), since my schematic is for a similar model but the writings are blurred, wait buying a new board, maybe i find something..
it seems ic5000 provides reset signal to cpu

i found the correct serv. manual and sharp images schematic, so try to check IC5000 pins 1,2,6,8,14,31,32, it is defective or it detects a problem on the sub tensions and shuts all things, comprised the CPU via reset signal.. check well also usb and hdmi connectors with lens, a bent pin can cause all this..

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                      by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                      by TR103
                      Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                      - sound and backlight, but no picture
                      - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                      - it keeps rebooting
                      - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                      - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

[SOLVED] M1 MacBook Pro clicking sound logic board 5V no power on A2338 820-02020
                      by slimmy182
Hello, I bought this Mac from a friend, he said that it simply stop working. The MacBook looks very clean but does not power on, stuck on 5v 0.42A, and sometimes display 5V and 0A (then 0.071A and again 0A).

I opened it looking for some problem, it was not touched before for sure and the board is very clena, no spot of corrosion at all from what I can see. Voltage on multimeter of the board off the case it's the same, 5V 0.42A. But then I noticed this "clicking sound" come from the board ( I attached here the audio file).

Looking on google I found this:...
