Samsung LED TV Model UA49N5000AR (Flipped image)

Hi Guys, this is the second time that I see this exact same issue on a Samsung. The tvs image is upside down and the set refuses to enter service mode (info, menu, mute, power).
To me it seems that the firmware has become corrupt and this prevents service mode access. Has anybody on this forum ever fixed this without changing the motherboard?
I tried to load firmware from Samsung website but as usual this is shit. The software version available online is older than what is loaded on the tv.

They can flip, sometimes it's just a glitch, one thing to do is make sure nobody put a mismatch mainboard in there.

Try the service remote or if you have an old android phone with ir blaster you can download an app.

I believe you push (menu, 3speed) to enter service menu. This is a master service menu and differs from the one you were trying to use

Are you saying i push the menu button 3 times in succession quickly? Would this be in standby mode?

Try the service remote or if you have an old android phone with ir blaster you can download an app.

I believe you push (menu, 3speed) to enter service menu. This is a master service menu and differs from the one you were trying to use

Does Samsung have a service remote like LG? What is its part number then i can google it?

No, it's a button labeled 3speed. I made a mistake as you push
info then 3speed button

Using the service remote, when i press "Factory" the tv set says "Not Available"

I added a picture of the service remote i used that did not work.

With the tv on you press “info, then factory” it should pull up the service menu

doesn't the asian versions use like america version something like 1,4,2,power? Or info,1,4,2...
Try pressing Exit for 15 seconds, this resets the tv, or you can erase the settins eeprom.. maybe hotel mode has get in.. try search service manual

I was on leave until now and got to look at my messages. Tell me how do you erase the settings in the eprom and what are the consequences of doing so?

Putting all FF to the settings eprom is not harmful because main sw rewrites it with default stored in main flash ic..

Yes, but you will lose everything: serial numbers, regions, MAC address....

I don't think so.. are you sure? my guess is another, original settings are stored in main memory, both current and default.. if the boot software finds empty eprom it rewrites it.

This option worked in older models, but it will not work in new “smart” models; with a clean eeprom it may not even turn on.

I have ordered one from Aliexpress but it has not come yet. I took the TV to a colleague of mine and he got it sorted. His explanation on how he got the tv sorted was rather sketchy so i left it at that.
